Ya, that is not a good team. They need to tear down and rebuild but they won't with Ovi looking for that record so they will just toil in mediocrity.

Agreed. I’ve always seen something in him.

Very excited if Ruzicka can channel his early season play from last year and keep it going.
3 points in 2.33 games.

I mean sure, better finish would be nice. But for these Flames, that's about as good as they come for 1st periods.

Oh, gotta have a piece on the Oilers during the intermission on a night when they don't even play. SN is so fn pathetic.

We need to know how McJesus and the boys are doing! If he doesn't win the cup he deserves (because he's the new Gretzky and is also such a good boy) we riot!!!!!!

God I'll miss his taunting & trolling of that team.
No one on the team now will come even close.

Don't see the game anywhere on Shaw direct satellite. I have every Sportsnet channel and it's all Leafs. The dedicated Flames channel is black screen. Worst broadcaster ever.

Seriously, Rogers Sportsnet cannot help themselves. First intermission panel question #1: who has a better chance to win the Stanley Cup. Toronto or Edmonton. Keep pumping those Oiler losers as Cup favourites. Just makes the inevitable failure all that much more enjoyable!!

All they talked about just before the season started was how Edmonton and the Leafs were going to the Cup final. It makes total sense as that is the only two Canadian teams in their eyes.

Ovechkin looked bad versus Pittsburgh and so far in this game he's playing with no effort at all. The PowerPlay when the puck came to the boards he just weakly tried to shuffle pass it. He's looking like maybe he's lost another step unfortunately

Backlund has the hatred of the Nucks/Oil and Andersson has the taunting, but yeah Tkachuk had both and it was the best.

He needs to be moved to a top team where the team around him can do most of the footwork and just feed him the puck in his wheelhouse.

The media is insufferable about wanting the Oil to win it all really bad. I still maintain McDavid is the best player I've ever seen by a fairly large margin, but the TEAM overall just isn't up to par. I'd even say they have no depth on offense or defence. Goaltending = shakey. Great they have McDavid and Draisaitl but there's a whole lot of questions. So many things aligned last year for them to move that deep. This year Colorado is back and others are going to be better. I'd be shocked if they move beyond the second round.
