With Wolf being recalled during one of the busiest stretches of the Wrangler schedule, I have to wonder if a Vladar trade is on the horizon and this not being a “spot start”.

Wranglers are absolutely destroying the Gulls…

6-0 3 min into the 2nd period. Powerplay has been strong

Default Calgary Wranglers 2023-24 Season thread

The fact they did this without Zary, Pospisil, DeSimone, or Wolf is impressive. The Wranglers have scored more goals in one game in San Diego this year than they have in the Saddledome in 4 games.

It's almost like knowing if you play well you may get a legit chance to play with the big team

How has Jones looked? Have always thought he'd be a decent addition to the bottom lines on the Flames.

He’s been “meh” …both him and Pettersen had better starts to their seasons last year. He hasn’t been bad, but hasn’t stood out as a “must give him an opportunity”

It definitely will be interesting to see where the offence comes from with Phillips, Zary, and Pelletier out of the picture.

Kerins has points in all of his games as well I believe. Good to see the guys get in after not playing forever and still contribute

Quite the performance from Oskar Dansk (who quietly has a 1.96 GAA and 0.944sv%)

Wondering a bit about Nikolaev, given his sparse utilization if he ends up like Dmitry Zavgorodniy and goes home halfway through the season.

I am a bit surprised that Gallant has seen as many games and regular shifts as he has while Nikolaev and Kerins have found themselves on the shelf.

As a developmental league, I feel that’s a bit of a fumble

Gallant is more of a facepuncher/deterrent, which is still apparently a role needed in the A.

Kerins might top out as a useful AHL depth scorer, but I'm not sure where Nikolaev fits in organizationally.

Based on the absolute late game BM after the whistle "goal" from the Firebirds today. I still see the need for a Gallant type goon.
