I think Davies slips more than any other footballer out there. He must always play in short cleats no matter the pitch

that's it for Maguire. United have a total of two CBs left (Varane and Evans), and they are both injury prone as well. Super.

I can’t believe that Jadon Sancho (even with his horrible attitude problems) would be worse than Antony or Garnacho. Dortmund Sancho would be the best winger on the pitch, both teams.

Garnacho spent the entire half giving the ball away and his only highlight was throwing Coman into the advertising boards… It’s a tragedy what has happened to Sancho at United

Wheres Phil Jones when you need him?

Bayern need to wake up. Trying to be way too cute in front of goal.

Sting Onana's hands a couple times.

They look competent defensively so far, but Kimmich and Goretzka seem to hide whenever the CBs/Neuer have the ball

Kane is dropping too deep, need him around the box so when a cross comes in there isn’t Sane hitting the ball backwards from 5 yards out…

Sancho only has himself to blame. It's a damn shame too because United could definitely use someone like him, but it is what it is. He can go pound sand as far as I'm concerned and I'm glad when he leaves in January.

haha wow, now Shaw is off injured as well. I think they have a total of five defenders left now (Dalot, Varane, Evans, Wan-Bissaka, Reguilon). Would be crazy if Bayern couldn't capitalize on this.

They look content to just hold the ball.

Kane's assist there is a beauty, part of what makes him so complete.

If theres any Silver lining, its that they're out of Europe entirely.

How is this squad so thin?

Wheres your Academy?

United going out and not even making europa has dropped England to 3rd in the race for 5th CL spot next year, 2 leagues get it

Need Newcastle to get a result tomorrow

https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/...ampions-league
Liverpool winning europa league would be a huge help

Personally I'd rather win the PL than Europa, but I guess we'll see.

With Liverpool losing Matip and thinking not to replace him and United just losing "Player of the Month" and Shaw and likely needing some reinforcements it should make for an interesting Transfer Window.

Either way, that was not a very interesting match. United's single shot on target is not what I'd call 'in anger' and Bayern didnt even seem to shift out of first gear.

It was a 'Professional' affair to grind out a result that didnt really matter once Copenhagen scored and hope for as few injuries as possible.

Which didnt go so well as each team suffered a couple of injuries. At least Bayern have a winter break coming up and Bayern's concerns might just be a couple of knocks (dont know yet) while United seem to have come off worse with some likely muscular injuries.

Ten hag said post game united deserved to win

Their xg depending on where you look was between 0.2 and 0.5

They had one shot attempt inside the box, it was 4 inches inside the box

Worst case scenario Jamie Carragher looks like he's kept himself ready to go!

And Neuer never even broke a sweat.

Although Upamecano I thought was excellent. Nobody troubled him all game.

he said they didn't deserve to lose. Which you can easily disagree with as well (I certainly do), but it's different than saying "we deserved to win".

what frustrates me is the lack of urgency. It was a must-win in order to keep the slim chance alive, and United never seemed to bother. Worrying and frustrating.

I can see where you're coming from. Bayern didnt exactly play them off the pitch or anything, but United really offered nothing in terms of an actual threat.

When you consider the dynamics of the match, its why I classified it as 'Professional.'

Bayern wanted a result. They got the win. They didnt by any stretch 'blow United away' but they also werent threatened in the slightest.

Despite United having everything to play for and Bayern having nothing, at Old Trafford, in a 'Do or Die' scenario United offered nothing. Neuer could have played that match while reading a book. If United were truly classy they could have shown a movie on the big screen to keep him occupied. Most of the fans would probably have appreciated it as well. Maybe "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking barrels?"

United couldnt even have been bothered to 'Huff and Puff.' They'd given up before the Ref's first whistle.

Which, as a fan, yeah, should be concerning.
