Yikes. That was worse than I thought it was going to be. And that's only like 2 mins of it...apparently he went on like that for over 30 minutes??
Glad he entered into the NHL Player Assistance program (likely to avoid charges) but yeah, he'll never play in the league again. Good riddance.

The full video is further down in the linked article. It’s awful. The police were exceptionally and overly generous to him. I wanted to reach through my screen and punch him.
Definitely wasn’t just booze IMO.

Honestly the video could be a police training video. The officers were awesome. The first guy excuses himself before getting emotional. And the guy who ripped him out of the car was the most accommodating and reassuring guy on scene, speaking calmly… called his wife to tell her he’s fine, all while being told his family is going to die from “the Russians”. Wild stuff.

I'd wager some heavy cocaine use based on his physical actions with his mouth.
The fact it's only 6pm and he's that torqued says a lot.
The video makes it evident he is more than just an addict but also a huge narcissistic a-hole as well. Hopefully he can get and stay clean, but I don't think it was just the drugs and alcohol that made him say some of that stuff. I'd be willing to bet his chirps during games were just as egregious.

You have to wonder when did Arizona last interview him before signing him to that contract. Or can meth or whatever he's on alter your presentation that significantly over a short period of time?
Or maybe they didn't interview him and just worked through his agent.

I had seen that in an earlier post but my use of the word "presentation" was meant to mean more than just the physical. Being under the influence can radically alter the way one acts but I wonder how normal he came across when he wasn't.
