Do you have any evidence that Huska is gonna be forcing the team to continue to play dump and chase? Because listening to this interview with Huska makes it sound like that isn’t gonna happen at all
I am going by how his teams played when he was head coach in the AHL. It was Geoff Ward hockey with better defensive structure. The guy has always been a defence first dump and chase coach, why is that going to change suddenly?

In this recent Glass and Out interview I’m listening too he’s talked about how the skill has gone up and allowing players to be creative offensively. But sure, let’s just automatically assume he’s gonna make the team dump and chase based on his AHL record from years ago
Maybe Love flubbed the interview or maybe they looked at the goalie he had and went hmmm. Love definitely could have been Gluegun 2.0.I'm sure Love will be an assistant coach in the NHL next year. Will be interesting to watch.

I guess we will see won't we? Hey, I hope he knocks it out of the park. I hope I am absolutely wrong and he has the team thriving. I just find it skeptical that the career defensive driving specialist is suddenly going to excel driving an F1 car.
The Flames didn't play a dump and chase game last season they actually led the league in rush entries I believe the issues started when we entered the offensive zone and played a out side game.
It's allowing guys to make plays on those zone rushes and playing in the middle of the ice and having our defenceman pinch in the middles instead of outside carries and rims.
We also need to fix the power play.
What Darryl started system wise wise good it needs tweaking in the offensives zone to allow creativity instead of shot volume. Also playing our offensive players more minutes.

Whenever I have watched interviews with Huska he has come off as extremely intelligent. From what I remember he has a good track record of developing very good dman in the AHL and WHL(?).
I don't really get the bad reaction from a lot of people here tbh.
