Hard not to think it was planned. He roughed up Stone, knocked him down, and hammered him. I mean, it's not a random schmuck, it's Stone. I guess you could be charitable and couch it in other language, and say that Benn lost control or "crossed a line" but what he did was knock down a star player away from the play and try to break his jaw with his stick. Was THAT play planned? No. But I wouldn't be surprised if Benn's thinking to himself "I gotta hammer Stone if I can."

in criminal law premeditated just means planned and deliberate, and the planning can be just a moment before. Benn knocked Stone down, looked at him, then aimed a cross check at his face. Pretty obvious.

It's freaky how he seems to slow down time when he has the puck, to the point where I feel like yelling "Do something!" but he doesn't HAVE to, he has the option to do all kinds of things.

But the number of pockets picked, plays disrupted, the job he did against McDavid was unbelievable... yeah the guy's a superstar.

4 out of the first 5 completed games have gone to OT, with the fifth finishing 1-0. These conference finals have been highly competitive and entertaining.
