So if they flames lose in the last 30 seconds of overtime 82 times, we've basically gotten 6 extra games of hockey this year. That's pretty much our playoff round.

Somehow the Flames playoff chances are still at 48%. I had mentally given up, but that is basically 50/50. Maybe they can still rip off a winning streak.

I will always believe, until the math says NO.

I’ll continue to have the games on, and allow myself to enjoy the rare moments of excitement.

I’ll listen to the ‘shows’ in the background.

However my emotional investment has dropped significantly. I’ve been a fan since they moved to town, and I can’t remember such a meh product (there have really bad ones tho).

I respect what Brad did last summer, but it didn’t work out. Making the the playoffs would be awesome, but burn it to the ground this summer regardless.

Tank, draft my nephew top 3 and I’ll be as happy as ‘89.

Yeah, if I'm going to remind blindly optimistic, I'm wanting a scenario where somehow the wonder twins hit a wall (not literally, although, beggars can't be choosers), their goaltending falters and the Oilers go on a major skid. The Kraken also fall off. Then the Flames get hot and boom, magic time.

Trade deadline is done. I hope for either of two things now:


1) Go on a serious run, make the playoffs, and win the cup being the 'surprise' team that everyone counted out.
2) If they aren't going to make the playoffs, fall to 10th or lower, win the damn lottery.


The order is my preference. Teams ahead of the Flames are not running hot, though Nashville worries me even though they sold. Going to be an interesting ending to the season anyway.
