The issue with the refs not the entire reason for the loss

You think that was an evenly officiated game?

Mangiapane needs to sit for a few games. Move Ruzicka up.

Too bad Phillips shoots right because Mangiapane is the guy he could actually replace, not Lucic. And it’s not the penalty either, the guy just doesn’t look at all like a scorer anymore.

I remember people who were upset that Brad didn’t sign Mangi for a longer term deal than the one he got. It’s starting to look like a blessing in disguise that he didn’t. Mangi can definitely turn it around, but he’s been pretty brutal to watch this season

Ref blaming is so lame. They are terrible for every team. That's why the NHL is so hard to watch.

He should. That's was just a completely lazy and unnecessary penalty at a time where Flames were controlling the momentum and could've taken the lead. Instead, it led to them losing the game.

He's been the biggest disappointment this season.

We really need Ruzicka to get over whatever illness he has so he can start playing more minutes again

really though in the age of game management how do you not call that interference late in the third. plain as day, every one in the building saw the hit on the Flame sans a puck

do they actually have it out for the Flames? I fail to come to a valid explanation for the negligence toward the team dominating possession all night and down a goal

there were 2 missed calls specifically that needed to be made and for reasons unknown were not

who's dog did Sutter run over exactly

Because even with the fix in they get outplayed. They deserved to lose tonight. It took a combo of putrid officiating, two Flames posts and zero Flames puck luck for the Oilers to win.

Refs are the problem.
1 goal, 48 shots
2 goals, 20 shots

1 of those 2 goals, the game winner, on the powerplay.
75% possession flames yet,
3 powerplays oilers
1 powerplay flames
2 clear non calls in the last 5 minutes on the oilers

Refs were a huge factor like it or not.

They aren't terrible for the Oilers

Outplayed nearly every game, lead the league in powerplays

Ok, I'm superstitious, after all the effing posts and crossbar we keep hitting, I'm going to post this in every GDT thread.

Not admitting the refs were a major factor in the outcome is lame

As tough as that penalty was, I still think it'd be a mistake to break up Mangiapane–Backlund–Coleman ... that line has been outstanding.

Refs are absolutely a huge factor btw
