I said great stick!

Coleman can't make the pass without the puck getting poked to him for sure.

You can disregard my comment. I just watched the highlights again and was picturing a completely different play in my head.

And I certainly wasn't trying to take the 2nd assist away from him. It was a good play.

But he has a bit of a Midas touch thing going on right now.

bobble puck ... assist
poke puck ... assist

Two more assists ...

1) He loses the puck completely and Coleman scores
2) Great stick on the forecheck, but then Coleman makes a great pass to Andersson.

Ruzicka is +3.01 in goals over expected goals this season (only Stone more fortunate).

Great players out score their expected rates, most other players don't.

Interesting to see what they have here.

Ruzicka = Good!

I was driving in from BC (ugh - really ugly on the highways!) and was a bit confused about the time when the 15-minute pregame warning came up on my phone...so on went 960 to listen. Talk about a disheartening start! Heard most of the first, got to the condo, ordered food and unloaded the truck and car. By the time I got back to the game I was just in time to see the Flames had tied it...and they scored #3 right away!

That, plus the Manhattans made the evening pretty good!! Thought Vlad was excellent, and something MUST have happened in the 1st intermission (garbage can kicking?) to put the boots to the Flames.

Was VERY surprised at Looch's sour response at the end during the congrats to the 'tender. Not like him.

Nice to see the PP clicking and executing in timely fashion. Probably the biggest factor in the Flames’ last couple wins. Vladar adding stability in net has helped greatly too. Not spotting the opponent a goal every night means the team has a chance to reel in some of these close games, which seemingly is every night.

Yeah, I thought he showed some really good flashes last season. He passed the eye test, but had things he needed to continue working on. Not saying he still doesn't need to work on some things, but he is one of those players that progressed every year and at every level he played.
