How am I turning on him? Sutter loves his lunchbox players, he always has.

Also, whatever happened to Vladar playing once a week?
Still two games in the week bud.

So you think rolling your wrists is some magic that fools goalies everytime? Give it a break. There was nothing great about that shot. It's a save a good goalie makes look routine.

Hrudey will always defend the goalie, big shocker.

So yes? You could just say yes.

Don't disagree with more Vladar starts. They should go one for one until someone proves they want the net.

If the Flames were getting average goaltending they would have a stellar record right now.

Flames had basically the same roster before Sutter...how did that go?

The week's not done. I would have started him tonight but Sutter might have preferred to have him play against his old team.

"Sutter suttering" is what then? A term of endearment?

They have 8 games to sort their sh*t before I pass judgement.

On the bright side the team should be very good next season as the trend of good season, bad season, good season, bad season continues.

That 3rd goal was one Markstrom needs to stop, for sure.

But the blame he's taking in here is masking some really really bad team defense the past 6 games. Yes, I know there's some injuries, but I'm not talking just about the defensemen, but the forwards are missing assignments regularly as well. Lots of players getting to the front of the net far too easily.

And yes, Eat Bread, Dube, and a bunch of others have to start scoring. The offense has been sputtering as well.

Basically, it's a combination of things that's hurting this team right now. Easy to put all or most of the blame on the goalie for that last goal, but man the problems are lot bigger than that. Need improvements everywhere. Especially team defense.

If Markstrom shows up for two more games the Flames are 7-3-2 and feeling great.

I don't understand the Markstrom apologists. Nobody is denying we have other issues and the team in front of him is playing far from perfect but the guy is consistently the 2nd best goalie on the ice every night. At some point, if the group in front of you is fighting it a bit, if your that guy, you win one for the squad or at least don't give up these back breaking soft a$$ goals at the worst time.

He does his share of blaming the goalie for a bad one too.

It's a combination of bad goaltending and poor team defense for sure. The lack of finish is an issue but I don't think anyone thought the team would be playing so poorly at keeping pucks out of the net.

An .865 save percentage on the year happened
