Let’s make our own Scorchy outfits and go out into the city dressed as Scorchy . Try to photo bomb and get people to take pictures of our homemade Scorchy outfits, get people talking about the random Scorchy sightings, Spread the Scorchy(which after thinking that I realize sounds like a STD)

Didn't the bottom fall out of the NFT market months ago?
After it came to light that most NFTs were basically pump and dump schemes?

Cosplay is also a copyright violation (unless expressly permitted). Many companies won't go after their fans for it, but they could.

This moves screams " super late to the party but they already invested a bunch of money into this. Might as well just dump it out there and see if they get anything back."

Most people would recognize how hopeless the situation is and quietly back out to avoid embarrassment. Not the Flames ownership group. Try not to think too hard about how they just tried to scam the fan base for millions of dollars.

I wear an Iginla jersey to the dome and I guess I sort of act like him. I am not. They’ve never bothered me for it.

Yeah I don’t think you’d violate either. Not unless you sold scorch tshirts or something.

But they might have a problem if you wandered around acting like an official mascot. They wouldn’t want people thinking you were legit if you weren’t. They also might not like that you don’t just stay in your seat like a normal patron.

Assuming you aren’t causing issues or blocking other people’s view, you could dress up as Scorch and just go to the game like every other fan though.

No it isn’t. Not unless you make money from it or sell your designs. I’m not aware of it ever being challenged but it would likely be considered fair use. But the very fact there are literally millions of cosplayers and they never get sued is a sign that it isn’t infringement.

Easy to explain. They just release another video with the new "real" Scorch torching the fake Scorch(the one that killed the firefighter), revealing under that costume that it was in fact that alley crack cat, Hunter. Scorch redeemed.

Are you sure? If that's the case, wouldn't dressing up for Halloween technically be a copyright violation?

Why would they bring him back just to do away with him again?

Nobody is still offended that he danced on the corpse of a first responder, as a goof, during the Obama administration.

Christ.

Personal use has never been considered infringement, only if you are attempting to profit from the usage

Are NFTs like HD DVD used to be? Super hyped, then a massive flop?
