Unfortunately not the best start to the season for Pelletier

The head coach not putting gigantic expectations on a 21-year-old kid isn't necessarily bad.

He doesn’t want anything special from a kid like him. You don’t want to say you want special when all he wants is simple and to play hard.

That's a dumb question to ask anyways. It didn't matter who the player was, Sutter would never say he expects something special from an individual. It's all about the team.

Thumbs up

I think I may have dismissed Meloche too much. His average time on ice was almost 17 minutes last season. And he started just under 70% of the time outside the offensive zone. Yet, his team had about 42% of the shot attempts when he was on the ice and 43% of the unlocked shot attempts for. I like that his team seems to have pushed the puck towards the opposition end when he was on the ice. Does anyone know anything about this player? I’ve never watched him.

3rd line role is gigantic expectations for a guy drafted in 2019? Sutter's quote doesn't say anything but at the same time, the team better be expecting Pelletier to make a big push for a roster spot.

He’s had 1 year of pro after 2 stunted years.

Maybe just me but there is no chance he makes the roster. He’ll get cut early, start with the Wranglers, and push to be a call up at some point.

If he looks good then, he’ll have a chance to stick next year.

To me this is normal.

Having the wranglers in cgy is going to be huge for the young kids. That much easier to get into the lineup.

Is that actually a handicap?

But also only non-wavier players

Pelletier should probably just go home at this point.
