I was told ice could get caught in the spout causing water to pour out either side.

I wonder how many people are mentally prepared for having a 2 year old. I knew that having a baby would be tough, but having a 2 year old is a whole other level of frustration...

The 2 year old is just preparing you for when they are 3. 3 was way worse than 2.

Reading people debate about how to boil water and that somehow it tastes differently or can be boiled properly in a microwave. Unless I am planning on serving tea to a lot if people, I just boil water in a mug in the microwave. If you can’t manage to boil water in a microwave without causing a mess or burning yourself, or having it come out only lukewarm, you’re living in borrowed time.

A glass full of cubes is the worst. So cold on your face and teeth when you just want a big swig of water.

I just noticed that MEC went from “Mountain Equipment Co-op” to “Mountain Equipment Company” on their product branding. I remember them being purchased, but didn’t know they were renaming.

Been noticing a lot of fanny packs out in the wild lately. People seem to be wearing them diagonally across their chest, but we all know they're fanny packs. I love it.

Welcome to every conversation with every parent ever.

"You think [x] age is bad? Wait until they are [y] age!"

My oldest is only 3, so I have have many years ahead of me, but my personal opinion is that all stages of raising children are likely equally as hard, but just in different ways.

I think there's definitely an endurance thing that comes into play where the responsibility just keeps compounding, but they definitely get way easier. You're totally in the thick of it right now. After like eight or nine they become much easier, after 10-12 even easier again as you can totally leave them alone, and now at 16/14 my kids are way more fun and cooler to have around than not. They have their moments, but generally it's pretty awesome. Especially now that my 16-year-old can drive my 14-year-old to all his stuff. Also, my 14-year-old is like a built-in Call of Duty buddy to hang with.

When they're young, every bathroom visit, every bath/shower, every change of clothes, every meal, every everything you are a part of. As that part of the job fades away it's a billion times easier.

Mine even help with the housework, meal prep, clean-up, etc. They can get groceries and just generally contribute as though we have a couple of extra adults in the house (granted, borderline r-tarded adults sometimes).

Any variety of “you think that’s bad, let me tell you how much worse it will be/was for me” is the most annoying and dismissive thing you can say to someone.

I have a 7 and 2.5 year old. It's definitely different at each age, but toddlers have a distinct advantage as you're able to brush things off with how freaking cute they can be, or that they likely don't really understand the situation. For me at least.

Or the judgment if you're having a harder time at one phase than another parent. All kids are actually their own person, not a robot you can program. Situations are going to be different for everyone.

I like where your head is at. But is a woman, and the pictures she shared on her instagram, are... not suitable for this website.

I've been laughing at this tattoo since I saw it. The only way you could make a funnier tattoo would be if you wrote live, laugh, love in Chinese characters.

Me too. I got banned from r/tattoos because I kept making fun of all the bad tattoos, which is most of them TBH.
