Makar is the most influential player on the ice in the league in my opinion, and I'm excited for him to get the spotlight so every fan knows it.
Calgary kid too.
Go the Avs.

If the Kabul Mujahideen played Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup finals, I would begin learning all the Pashtun rally chants.

Please tell me Singh isn't getting these games? And would be great, but doubtful, if they could give David Amber the majority of the games as host don't think Maclean would miss this for the world though.

I don't think the Flames played very well at all and their goaltending was historically poor. Oilers won 3 one goal games (and a actually lost game 5 if we are being real)
Pacific bracket was ridiculously bad...Oilers won't know what hit them. The Kings without Doughty were tied in the 3rd period of a game that could have eliminated the Oilers. Reality check time.

It'll be the Sportsnet"A-Team." Cuthbert and Simpson in the game. Ron MacLean hosting the panels with Bieksa, Hrudey, Friedman and Botterill.
Just like last series.

The Oilers also deserve to be punished for giving Kane a contract immediately after getting out of the sharks investigation.
No shame, no spine. Willing to make deals with the devil just to get anywhere near a sniff at glory. Everything about it is so pathetic.
Smith is such a little #### and deserves to be blown out. You just know he's in it for himself given how quickly he throws teammates under the bus.
Lets in a ####damn flipper from 200 feet and has the audacity to raise his arms at the guys on the ice. Wtf! Lol.
So much stench.

All of this.
Reiterates my tagline for the Edmonton Oil Tankers: "Nothing Earned. Always Given."
FTO. Fck the Oilers.

Now that the Flames loss has sunk in, it still pains to not have them in the conference finals. However, I am actually looking forward to this series. I love any hockey, so I will be watching. It’ll be interesting to watch the top three players(McDavid(1), Mackinnon(2) and Draisatl(3)) in the game right now go head to head. I think the Avs still take the series, but I’m predicting, it’ll go at least 6 games.

Reports on twitter that Edmonton had Covid issues when bussing over the Border (losers)
Honestly, I hope karma kicks them in the nards this series

You are right about 90% of the Oilers.
But McDavid and Draisaitl are good.
And they are proving potentially good enough to win games on their own.
Colorado has had their own playoff demons, and I don't think it's going to be a cakewalk.
Weirdly enough I think the Oilers are probably going into this series more confident than the Avs. And the mental piece and confidence can be huge this time of year.

Honestly how do you think the Avs would have done against LA and the Flames with that goaltending, injuries, and the way they were playing?
Avs are another level, league also isn't going to gift the Oilers a game in this series

If they knowingly dressed players for games who had Covid, thus risking the other team, there NEEDS to be repercussions for that.

I think mainstream media will salivate over MacK vs Mc, but the more knowledgeable hockey fan is going to be closely watching Makar.
This kid has the potential to be generational, and its exciting to watch. I hope he outshines McD especially.

We were watching the highlights of the last Avs/Blues game and my son said "Well, its the two best players going head to head next round". I responded with "McDavid and Makar?". He really thought about it for a while but he said "Not yet, you'll just have to live with McDavid and MacKinnon".
Makar though.... he's only going to get better yet and he's already spectacular.

For all us suffering Flames fans' sanities, I really hope the Avs make quick work of the Oilers. Knowing their luck plus with the league's help, I see Oilers dragging this to 6 games before they get eliminated. Hope I'm wrong, and it's just a quick sweep. Go Avs!

So why do you think they went to all that trouble, extending the length of their commute?
