I dont like the Boo'ing of OV. But if that's how ppl need to voice their displeasure with the current world situation then I guess rheres not much anyone can do about it. Well as much as OV can do something about his crazy friend.

My neighbour is Russian, maybe I should egg his house…. Wait, his wife is Ukrainian and both their parents live (Ukraine) there now. I think this blaming anybody here is just stupid, unless they have something to do with the war. I can bet that Russians understand that area of the world better than I do and understand Ukrainians better too. I’m in no position to judge anyone and I think many of those booing Russians or vandalizing Canadians originally from Russia (like churches or associations) are just wrong. No one likes war…. but I think blaming people who aren’t involved in it is just short sighted.

This is sometimes the time in the season when less experienced players start to see a dip in their play and make more mistakes due to the mental grind of a long season. Perhaps that's what Kylington is going through in his first likely full season.

One more time - and I’m not saying it’s right or wrong - they aren’t booing Russians in general. They are specifically booing Ovechkin because he’s made a point of showing off his friendship with Putin, and has set up a Putin booster group of NHLers (and other athletes IIRC ). I guess the take would be that he’s involved himself.

Since when is booing players on the other team unacceptable? IMO it's perfectly fine to boo whoever you want short of players who suffered an injury. You don't need a reason. They're the enemy!

and it's not a minor thing to blow aside. The Flames had someone sing the Ukrainian national anthem at the last game! When has that ever happened?
