Looks like it was a first line or bust game.
4th line got worked and the 3rd line wasn’t dangerous (but not a liability either).

Props to Dube. He appeared to get the message and was a rocket out there tonight.

Hope Rucizka responds similarly when he’s inserted.

Sure, he can be 7th. Eichel can be 8th.

Lindholm is top 6.

Every line played well from what I saw. It was a hard-fought game. 3rd and 4th were solid defensively

He’s a liability defensively. Every time he’s out on the ice in his zone or he’s caught flat footed, it’s almost guaranteed a goal for the opposition. Yes, he did make a few good plays to break out of the zone but you kind of hold your breath when he passes the puck right onto the Avs’ plsyers a few times on turnovers. Just glad Vlador is a capable goalie.

We will need to be better than that if we’re going to meet them in the post season.
Flames stopped playing their game and started throwing the puck away. They usually force other teams to give the puck away but at times struggle with teams that play the same way.

I'm not sure Lindholm is under-rated any more.

People have been talking about him out of market for weeks.

The Monahan line got a lot of icetime and while they didn’t produce anything, they didn’t give up anything. Seemed like they had some good offensive zone time too.

Wow - that was an AWESOME game!! Flames coming back quickly to score twice after being scored on...great resilience and grit! Stuck with it even though they gave up quite a bit in the centre - something the Avs definitely did not do...kept the Flames to the outside most of the time - except for the #1 line. Good to see the desperation in the Flames D....wished it had been a little more co-ordinated...but they got the job done.

And that freaking pass in OT...after an amazing steal by Lindy...I yelled so loud I woke up the just-post-surgery dog (who probably should have stayed asleep), but hey--- how many games do we get like that?!

Now - do the same damn thing to the Oil. Except. Crush them. Please!

After watching a few pre-game panel, I thought Bieksa has gain some intelligence. But after this line, realized, nope, same old dumb dumb Bieksa.

Johnny top 5 all time in points as a flame.

At this point if we don't resign him it may be one of the lowest points of all time for me at least as a flames fan. Kind of crazy to think about while we are riding so high right now.

Here's to hoping 13 is a flame forever

I hope Sutter insert Rucizka and take Ritchie out, then move Dube up to Monahan line and move Lucic down.
