Mangiapane should move into a hotel and take a team bus for transport to the Saddledome.

The Flames definitely outshot/out chanced Seattle, I don’t think there’s any doubt in that. So perhaps saying they were lucky to win was a bit disingenuous, what I should’ve said was that the Flames were fortunate to draw Chris Dreidger instead of Grubauer because 2 or 3 of the Seattle goals allowed were due to amateurish goaltending. In the end though, the right team won the game as Seattle had no answer for the top line. They completely dominated the match.

Has Grubauer been playing lights out?

It’s on Treliving now to make it work. It’ll be the toughest summer of his entire career. I was quite disappointed when Mangiapane was bridged because he was a definitely going to be a 30 goal scorer one day that we could’ve had signed long term for cheap. That would have helped so much for this summer’s inevitable cap crunch.
Had I been in Treliving’s shoes though, I would’ve done everything I could to sign Gaudreau and/or Tkachuk last summer. Their performances in the final quarter of the season was astounding. It was very likely that the chemistry would carry over to the next season and it has. Now with Gaudreau on pace for 90+ points though and entering the UFA market, he has all the leverage now and Treliving has none. He’s going to have to pay market price and that’ll mean you even less money to work with.
For me, I think I’m just more disappointed that the we couldn’t take advantage of Johnny’s cheap contract years. He was stuck with all kinds of deadweight when we had the pieces to an elite line for years. Now you have Tkachuk, Mangiapane, Kylington and Johnny to re-sign and they’re all killing it this season. I don’t want to see the Flames being stuck once again as a shallow one line team that can’t ever get over the hump because they have no depth.

Would’ve been better than Dreidger. Some of those goals he allowed weren’t even NHL quality. The way he overplayed or underplayed 3 of yesterday’s goals were laughably bad. Kelly Hrudey yesterday said before the game that he’s liked the way Seattle’s been playing, it’s just goaltending that’s been letting them down and after their performance yesterday, I wholeheartedly agree. You can’t be a competitive team with weak goals of that nature every night.

Driedger overplayed the first goal (massively), but in all likelihood, Gaudreau scores, even if he didn't.
I think blaming him is a bit misleading.

A better goaltender in net would’ve at the very least given himself a chance to stop that one. It would’ve been a great save, but not impossible. On the second goal, he was so deep into his net that any further and he would’ve been inside his net. Then on the fourth goal, he loses his net, over plays his glove side, then proceeds to give up a bad rebound and in the process, gives himself no chance to stop the second shot. It was amateur hour out there.
If Seattle had themselves a back up like Dan Vladar, I think they could’ve stolen one against the Flames last night. It was a ultimately a winnable game that Dreidger made un-winnable IMO.

And Markstrom didn't exactly stand on his head either. The Kraken were the 2nd best tea, on the ice and were fortunate to put up 4 and even be in that game.

Hahahaha, just realized we're on a 5 game road trip, down to Florida no less.
Jumpin' jesus....
We must be done playing in the east for the year after this.
Nice of them to line up a nice, cushy schedule in the second half for us at least.
