The Flames would be his third team if we discount the trainwreck of an organization that is Buffalo, Sutter would be the best coach that he's ever played for, and hockey is probably the only thing he has to live for at the moment.

Worth a shot, imo.

If you just want someone perpetually on LTIR just send Monahan back to surgery. Its easier that way.

Frankly, the only way for SJ to shed Kane at this point is to retain some salary, add in a sweetener and be open to 'Future Considerations' as a return.

I don’t think the Flames have a strong enough room to deal with Kane if he goes off the rails. I think it will be a team like the canes that will sign him because they are a contender and based on signing Deangelo I believe they would also take on Kane.

At 3.5 mil per? Though I know it won't happen I'd be fine with it too as I think Sutter is strong enough to handle it, but I know many would be opposed on moral grounds. Plug him into the lineup for Pitlick and the Flames are vastly improved up front and what I care about is seeing the flames win another cup in my life not winning sportsmanship and values kudos. But the issue for me is the Gaudreau and Tkachuk contracts not being settled and how adding Kane would affect that. If either of those guys can't be locked down and walk for free it would be a colossal loss for the organization and throw the team into a retooling phase.

Either way I hope he goes somewhere with a couple games against the Sharks left. I really dislike Kane and his conduct off ice, but I have no time for Logan Couture throwing him under the bus this fall and I'm looking forward to seeing him wet his pants when Kane comes after him. 99% chance he cowers behind the ref and mouths off

It would be his fifth team, counting Buffalo (where he was a decent producer).

I just don't know why Sutter and the Flames would want or need the extra work of reforming this guy. Surely there are players who can produce as much without the hassle. This guy is 30. He is who he is.

BTW, while Sutter maybe managed to turn Carter around, I'd argue he wasn't successful with Richards. Or Voynov for that matter.

At risk of stating the obvious, because they want to win. He's a top 20 winger in the league and he'd be dirt cheap to acquire. But maybe they think he'd destroy the room and hurt more than he'd help and there would definitely be some fan backlash too - I'd be absolutely stunned if it happened

Nah. I can name 20 better wingers without breaking a sweat. Three are on the Flames already. I can probably name 30 if I think about it. He maybe cracks top 40.

June, 2016 - Three separate woman all claim that Kane physically assaulted them in a bar. One said he had grabbed her neck and told her she was going with him now. Another said he grabbed her by the neck in the parking lot, made derogatory comments to her and tried to push her into his car. A third said she was grabbed by the arm and pulled by Kane. A bouncer, who Kane also engaged in physically, would support the claims. Kane would accept a plea deal that would have the charges dismissed if he stayed out of legal trouble for six months.

March, 2019 - Anna Kane, shortly after complications with the birth of their child, alleges that Kane forced her to perform oral sex on him by grabbing her hair. A couple days later, and still not healed, Kane allegedly raped her according to the divorce documents.

That's seven people who have claimed Kane has assaulted them.

Thanks for the summary. No criminal convictions - yet. You have to have your head in the sand to think things will be better here. This isn't a Colin Kapernick situation. I'd be disappointed in any team willing to take this guy on their team.

Most NHL teams don't seem to make harsher evaluations on their own home grown players who did play in the NHL and produce. Carolina didn't hesitate to tell these guys to not let the door hit their ass on the way out, they were not worth what they wanted.

Another one of his exes claimed in June 2016, only through Instagram and not through official channels like the others, that Kane was physically and verbally abusive. Calling him an "extremely abusive #######".
