We've played the same number of road games (13) as NYI. They had to spend the first 6 weeks of the season on the road because their new arena wasn't ready... I wonder what the reason was for us?

Omg reading those Oiler comments is legendary haha

The Flames are all in it is a thing of beauty. This is is legitimately the best I have seen this team play in a crazy long time. So fun to watch and they seem to be really embracing each other. Amazing.

Just part of the McAgenda. And it backfired on them (well the Oilers early record is inflated, so they did succeed there).

Flames 5 Hawks 2

- Lucic stands out with goal and a great play on the empty netter
- Flames blow two leads but don't panic
- Flames blueline on display as all 6 have solid nights
- That's four in a row
- Points in 17 of 20

I loved watching Darryl in the presser tonight...he for sure had a bit of a smile and a twinkle in his eye. He won't say it (to the media)...but he was clearly pleased with his team, their grit and performance to hang on and gut it out after that gruelling schedule.

Nice to see.

In Sutter we trust. Again.

It’s cave man hockey."

He won't compliment one of the best coaches yet he will compliment a one line team with the biggest whiner who dives and flops around like a fish.

Glad they lost tonight.
He also had his point game streak snapped tonight

Lucic looks like a totally different player under Sutter too. Engaged - smart plays with his stick and chips in the odd goal here and there.

ATL rambling nonsensical rant- ok I don't really understand the point, but poor Ottawa, they are so bad they aren't even a Canadian team?

(clarification- when I say I don't understand the point, I don't mean I don't understand the point of the ATL- I mean I don't understand what point this guy- below- is trying to make)
The same Flames team has lost all games against Canadian clubs that they have played (only 3) and all games against divisional clubs. 3.

Three months ago, most of us (myself included) were disappointed that the organization didn't make sweeping changes. Ninety days later and most of us (myself included) are filled with salary cap dread because "how will they keep this team together long-term?"

Hockey is a hell of a sport.

Curious to see how SN deals with having to acknowledge the Flames as tops in the league over their favourite team in the coming days.

From the Dome, where Sutter said the recent schedule was "almost unfair."

Well being pissed at the ATL kinda defeats the purpose. You can practically hear steam shooting out of their ears just from reading the posts.

You mean they have more wins? The Flames have more regulation wins, which actually matters more since it's the tie breaker.

Remember guys, there are 3 'good' teams in Canada: Leafs, Oilers and Jets.

Flames? Nah...

Aged well.

This is such a fun year, id love to see the flames pad their division lead and start to solidify 1st. We have a +15 lead in goal differential over the grease stains

Flames underlying stats are among the best in the league. Oilers fans: it’s luck.
