He's played great but 5 on 5 Flames have dominated.

Got out of that period. Now time to come out hard and no more penalties!

Pens are a much higher tempo team than the last two.
Good test for the boys. Defence solid despite Hanifin's absence.

They were playing well, until Gudbranson took a double minor. While we were already killing a penalty.

A solid road period. The Pens are playing with pace, let's hope the Flames keep up.

Strong first period from Markstrom wow. Huge penalty kill. Flames seem to be getting destroyed on faceoffs in their own zone at the moment which is leading some sustained O-zone time for the Pens. But love the effort from everyone.

Preseason Badbranson very much returned for that period
Let’s hope it was just a quick visit

Yeah, that penalty sequence was just an unfortunate turn of events: a 5-on-3 for over 1:40, and because of the stupid tacky-tack rule about drawing blood on a high stick it became an additional 2:00 in a double-minor.

Really? Didn't think he was bad at all. Hardly noticed him.

Markstrom was really good. Penguins' forecheck out-Suttered the Flames. Defense noticeably struggling with retrievals and exits

Yeah, have to agree here but without the real finishers in their lineup. Though I wonder if it has something to do with the Calgary backend being all messed up with the Hanifin injury.
