Looks like my riding is being punted by even the Green party - so just 4 candidates - NDP, Liberal, CPC, PPC.

Well I think I'm back on the "not voting" train. I'm in Rempel's riding, and I think it's ridiculous to have an MP represent you that doesn't even live in the same country, so conservative is out. There's no way I could vote Liberal given how much of an ass Trudeau is, so that only really leaves the NDP. However I haven't seen a single orange sign anywhere around nose hill. There's a ton of Rempel signs and a few PPC, but that's it. I'd have no way of even knowing the name of the NDP candidate without a specific Google search, if they can't even be bothered to do a minimal amount of campaigning then why do they deserve my vote?
So I'm back to my original conclusion that there just aren't any good options this year. I'm sitting this one out

I went with Rhino. I firmly believe the law of gravity should be repealed, and my candidate is the only one that is even thinking of tackle that issue.

I plugged my nose and voted for Conservatives. First of all, because frankly I respect the campaign that O'Toole has run. stuck to his platform for good or bad. Didn't get into the heavy mudslinging. I think he looks and acts far more mature then Trudeau.
Frankly the Liberals are a lethal combination of incompetance and corruption, and I feel they will do serious harm to this promise. This campaign has been typical Liberal attack and I believe that no matter what they promise they won't deliver but still find ways to blow massive amounts of money on nothing. I also find that the Liberal track record with the woman in the armed forces, and the candidate that left on his own after the Libs didn't even talk to the victims, and people like Kent Hehr and Tang in Edmonton being protected by the Liberal Party over the victims is repulsive.
Looking at the NDP platform and the lunacy of its costed element, and looking at Singh's record of supporting Trudeau while crying about corruption and transparency, I obviously can't vote for them. Plus the NDP candidate in my area has done nothing. No mailouts not door knocking so doesn't deserve a vote.
Can't vote for blanchet. Not going to vote Maverick,(while I believe seperatist sentiment is going to explode in this province if we get a Liberal Government that uses NDP support to go after Alberta). The Maverick Party is not the answer.
I won't vote for a pure Trump style Party with some really unacceptable people in it like the PPC.
I vote to eliminate at least one Liberal vote.

Oh yeah, and I can't vote for the Greens either, their treatment of Paul is gross and I think May is a obnoxious ego maniac who only gives a shyte about herself.

Went to the advance poll today and voted Conservative as the least of several evils. What I wouldn't give for a party that is fiscally responsible/intelligent (not always the same as fiscally conservative) and socially moderate.

I've decided climate change is the biggest issue for me in this next election cycle. Was going to vote Conservative because I really like the individual as a human being (seems honest and genuine, very nice guy), but I think our climate issues can't wait. It's a Liberal vote for me.

One thing I was sure of going into this election: I wouldn't be voting Liberal.
But then the Conservatives took a generous axe to the child care plan the Liberals/NDP had put forward - a plan that could have a pretty big financial impact on me over the next 5 years or so.
So, my plans of not voting Liberal this election seem to have gone agley...

Voted NDP, as I couldn't in good conscience vote for either of the two major parties. Neither one has done anything to earn my vote in this stupid election, so f*** 'em both. With no realistic shot at winning for the NDP, my only hope at this point is for a minority government, whether it's the Libs or Cons. They're both equally terrible, so it's not like it f'n matters who we end up with.

If there was a PC party I’d probably vote for them, but there isn’t. O’Toole is doing a decent PC imitation in this campaign but that’s a significant departure from CPC doctrine. If he wins a minority and manages to govern / control his party along those lines then maybe I’ll vote for him next time, but not this one.
I’m a throughly disenchanted typically Liberal voter so I don’t want to vote for them, but I do want to help break the Conservative stronghold in Alberta because it’s unhealthy. If the Liberal in my riding had a chance I would hold my nose and vote for her, but she doesn’t.
I might just sit this one out.
I miss the days when each vote gave the party a certain amount of funding. It provided a nice consolation when you preferred candidate had no choice.

Very reluctantly I'm probably voting Liberal, only as a hedge against a Conservative vote (though I'm well aware that it won't make any difference in my riding).

I might be wrong, but aren’t all the liberals promises in 5 years from now? So basically: it won’t help you, and it’s not a real promise because there will be another election before then?

I was kind of worried with how easy O’Toole seemed to flip on some things. A little to quick in a way that suggested he is just going to say anything to get votes and then flip back if he wins.

I went and googled who the NDP candidate in your riding was just to see if there even was one and now I’m thinking a lot of posters would probably be surprised by his professional background:

He understands that protecting Alberta’s energy sector means building value-added processing opportunities while ensuring that our natural resources are developed sustainably.

Him publicly trying to convince labour Unions that he was going to work with them and not against them while leading a party whose official policy remains pro right-to-work basically says all you need to know about his credibility.

You probably won't see if for more then 5 years, and we'll be hearing it as a wedge issue in every election over the next 50. "Any time now" The Liberals will promise, but if you vote for Mean Mr Mcgarnical, all of our hard work (now work) will go away.
Not trying to talk you out of it, vote for your conscious and reasons. But the small print on the Liberal plan is that help isn't on the way for quite a while.
