This was made when the Oilers were apparently in the running for Ristolainen. Instead they opted to give Cody Ceci the spot for 3 years. I imagine it's even worse when you sub Ceci for Ristolainen.

Keep convincing yourself that your D isn’t a sham Stang it will make it that much funnier when reality starts to sink in. Everyone is seemingly jumping on the hypewagon that is the Oilers like clock work and it’s the same likely script. Talk to me at the end of November and we will see what’s up.

Well I’ll base it off how they play this season instead of some hippy dippy war charts. Even with our “sham” defense I still think we end up above the flames. And I really dont see how flames defense is any better.

Defensively, I’d put any of the Calgary top 4 ahead of any Oilers DMan. Including Rasmus. Tanev is obviously a stud defensively, Hanifin took giant steps and while Zadorov can take bad penalties, he’s also a punishing guy that the Flames haven’t had in years.

Go read his Twitter, he’s tweaking it if something doesn’t fit how he thinks it should be. “Oh hey I did this but it looks weird so let me adjust it” No clue how he’s gets his numbers, how he weighs them, or how he adjusts them. Just know he does.
Last year Tanev was a super star and the year before that he was “replacement level”
