Its too bad (or maybe I missed it) that more of his teammates, Sutter, Treliving haven't said much even on Twitter.

Just leaving this here: at the 2018 Worlds McDavid, Nurse and RNH all played for Team Canada and we didn't medal...

Huge stuff for Mangiapane....can gain nothing but confidence from this. That's good for the Flames.

This was the most I've ever been invested in this tournament. Probably because I live in Europe now so it feels closer to 'home'. But seeing the joy and celebration on the boys' faces tells me it matters A TON to these players. I'll never ever get tired of seeing Canada put on a gold medal and the anthem playing. Absolutely never. Pure bliss!
Also great to see Luongo and Doan get medals around their necks. Totally forgot Lu was the GM. Nice to see him be a part of Team Canada's management gig going forward. Kuemper was a beast. Great performance by him.
And of course Manginer! Wow! Tournament MVP in the most literal sense. No wins without him on the roster. Win with him in the lineup. Doesn't get more black and white than that. Not sure if there is a stat for IIHF players who have used an MVP award to springboard it into NHL success. But nonetheless, the Flames have a potential legit star player on their hands!
Couldn't be more proud of this team. The other tenants in my apartment probably heard me screaming, jumping, then belting out a strange English foreigner song, but had no idea why

Wet blanket time.
I wish the World Championships were held every 4 years, and the NHL tweaked their schedule to finish early so we could truly have an international best-on-best, and not some gimmicky "World Cup" they stage whenever they feel like.
The Olympics came close to being that, but again, they pick and choose when they'll go. And it's mid-season which is dumb.
Anyway. Good for Mang.

The World Championship is 56 countries.

They probably did it the old fashioned way. Directly. Why does everything have to be done publicly?

I can't help but get this image of Darryl kicking his own ass, just for thinking about something as lame as twitter.

Yeah if anyone would hate twitter with a passion it would be Sutter.

It’s funny how many fake Darryl Sutter accounts there are.

Wouldn't be disappointed if he ended up here sometime. Cheap bottom pair guy with a little offensive flair. Both the Canucks and Wings fans I've seen generally like him.

One offensive play in a tournament does not equate to offensive flair.
Tony from Richmond is legit heart and soul and will fight and scrap for every inch of ice. He's a liability when he has to play any sort of extended minutes and is slow as hell.

There's a few butthurt Ottawa folks on Twitter saying Brown was hampered initially by playing with a lesser team. Yeah, lesser until Mangiapane showed up.
