How do you qualify "run and gun"? I know what the term means, but I'm struggling to see how Carolina was intentionally running and gunning.

I mean playing no D, fly the zone, try to win by out scoring and not out defending. I see it, maybe you dont.

Carolina playing like a team facing elimination. TB trying to weather the storm and finish strong.

Great game so far. When Tampa is on their game and cycling in the offensive zone it's tough to stop. They've had a few dominant shifts already.

Hot damn. What a finish by Point on the backhand.

I'm watching this on NBC... their colour commentator is AJ Mleczko. She's fantistic, and easily the best female commentator I've heard yet. If they want to have more women doing this, she should do way more games.

Yeah, she's great.

The only thing that throws me is how she discusses penalties.

"Interference call on Maroon" = Carolina penalty for interfering with Maroon.
"Hooking call on Aho" = Tampa penalty for hooking Aho.

She is part of the excellent MSG NY Islanders broadcast team.
They are very good:
Brendan Burke
Butch Goring
Shannon Hogan,

AJ Mleczko,

Jennifer Botterill

I'll put up with that.

What I want from a colour commentator is either to add a bit of personality to the broadcast while not being obnoxious, or better yet, to add new information and context that I can't get from simply watching the broadcast. She does the latter really well. I have no idea why they use McGuire, ever, if they have someone like this available.

#### no.

Brendan Burke is... mostly fine. Butch Goring is awful. He's one of the worst commentators in the business and should never be allowed to call anything outside his own living room. People need to stop putting a mic in front of him.

I have no idea who Hogan is but I don't think Botterill is good at all.

She must be watching soccer? That's how the Brits describe fouls.

Foul on victim, foul to offender.

Potentially unpopular opinion: regardless of where the burned in clock was that still shouldn't have counted. The horn sounded before the puck got there. That would undoubtedly affect the goalie's play.

This is a dynasty caliber of Lightning team, but that's also because they're sonehow managing to ice a roster that is technically not even cap compliant.

Team loophole. They need to change the LTIR and injury trade rules. Ridiculous teams can get extra cap room by trading for injured players.

It certainly looks like the battle of natural disasters will prove that Lightning strikes are stronger than category two Hurricanes.

Whoa. Dougie lucky not to get a penalty after almost getting stripped for a breakaway by Goodrow.
