Never thought I would miss those California road trips. I never want to watch another Toronto or Ottawa game again.

Not to mention we are on our 5th coach since the rebuild started.

What a despicable mess.
Then you look at our prospect pool.

Salary cap team.

It's hard to really be optimistic about anything with this team.

Yeesh, and that was what, 7 years ago?

That's the most damning thing for Treliving in combination with everyone else. The owners are goddamn fools if they keep him around this off season. But I guess with the franchise level of success (lack of) since '89, what more can you expect? Bottom of the NHL quality franchise this one is.

Very curious to see how the organization responds to this season. In my mind, given where the team was supposed to be at this stage of things, this result has to be absolutely unacceptable. There has to be some accountability at the GM level. I'm not convinced they will make that change, but in my eyes there's more justification to move on than to keep things as they are.

Bag skates for every player under contract until next season or their contract runs out - no holidays. Treliving included.

Maybe they'll be ready to start any game next season...on time.

Then again, it's the Flames. So disappointed, but not surprised.

Can't wait for the inevitable "Grade the Flames" exercise for this year. A lot of Fs not to many of anything else. Why? Because most of them didn't give a F. Now they can get one.

I think they're just a new national anthem singer away from being a contender.

Only Susan Smith could bring home the Cup.

On the bright side, at least we didn't have to cheer for the Oilers for more than one game.

(For those who believed there was still a miniscule chance of making the playoffs.)

Things'll be different next season when they call up Scorch and put Harvey to sleep.

This darkest timeline season is funny because every time you think it might let up and go the other way it descends to another depth. It gives no ####s.

It clearly has decided what it is going to be. So #### it, I say just let it. The hockey gods can get it out of their systems now.

Just don't have this BS spilling over into next year.

In March of 2020 I had a trip booked to NYC to see the Flames v the Rangers and the Islanders. And then, well you know.

Same for the Jets. I never want to see a Jets game ever again.

I didn't mind the Toronto games. Mainly cause we kind of showed up for those and made Toronto look rather mortal. A lot of solid defensive efforts.

Jets and Senators, holy #### yeah. Gonna go out on a limb and say we'll be thinking the same of the Canucks after game 56 as well.

I do enjoy Kings and Ducks games, even for the hatred of it.

We should hire John Tortorella to be co-coach with Sutter because two dinosaurs are better than one.

And a whole new generation of Oiler fans are coming up because of McDavid. That is absolutely disgusting. It’s a disgrace. But it’s reality. Why would any kid cheer for the Flames? They don’t win. They have no players you can’t find on other teams. They have absolutely no appeal.

I’m in too deep to quit but if someone asked me what team they should start cheering for I wouldn’t say the Flames. I’d spare that poor soul.

I’ve been alive for almost 30 damn years and these buffoons have been out of the first round of the playoffs only twice. Twice. In my entire lifetime. Meanwhile I’ve seen multiple teams win multiple Stanley Cups, and not always with the same core.

This organization is rotten from top to bottom. It’s time to gut them. I would fire literally every single person outside of our amateur scouts and Sutter. Every one of them. Gone. Bye John Bean (who the hell is John Bean anyway?). Bye Treliving. Bye Don Maloney (what is it you even do here?). Bye Conroy. Bye Cassie Campbell’s husband.

Of course that won’t happen. They’ll sell low and continue to get garbage draft picks or sneak in as an 8th seed. But I’m so sick of it. Just a truly difficult, embarrassing, and pathetic team to cheer for. I’m so sick of it. Please, for the love of God commit to a full rebuild already.
Well said and 110% accurate. I was 3 when the Flames won the cup, have no recollection, started cheering for this team pre young guns era, the Theo Fleury and Ed Whalen days. I remember my first NHL game in 96 when the Flames beat the Avs on HNIC, where I was when Iggy scored his first NHL goal in the playoffs vs Chicago. Then the 7 year drought came and kids naturally gravitated to good teams (Detroit, Colorado, Dallas, etc.), but I was to naive to know any better and stuck to this sad sack organization. 25 years later, outside of one magical run, this franchise hasn't provided one lick to the fan base. I cant honestly think of a worse franchise to be so emotionally invested in, the Browns? Sabres? I've caught myself watching damn baseball this season over Flames hockey. Over time both the league and the organization has taken away the spirit and enthusiasm for the league and sport. Hopefully one day before my day comes things change but until then, I won't be spending a cent on this franchise.

I don't think Tre has done enough to be named emperor for life, but who do you have available that is proven better? I love Sutter as a coach ...hate him as a GM. I don't want any rookies or Lanny nostalgia. What is out there that we really want?
