He was given most of the core guys who are being roasted - Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennett, Gio, Backlund.

Outside of those players we need an overhaul; If we pry a couple of firsts and bring in some Sutter type players we would be better off. Too many players on this team dictate the wins and losses...... Those guys were not playing for the coach, or each other but continue to play for themselves.

I've been saying this for a while.

I just want one or two lateral moves from this core to see how it alters the make up of the group. Sometimes you just don't have the right combination for that chemistry and the right slotting.

As is, we don't slot well and we don't have any obvious chemistry in the top six.

I'm getting tired of Matthew Tkachuk and wonder if he isn't the problem on this team. The whole chewing on the mouth guard thing has been annoying to me for quite a while now. Either wear it or don't because it's a distraction and shows he's not focused. I get a lot of players do it but not to that extent.

People can also stop talking about Milan Lucic being overpaid, he's the only Flame that plays like he cares on a consistent basis.

But yeah, frustrating tough loss.

Filip Gustavsson looked good and really calm, I knew the Flames were going to have a tough time scoring on him as the game went on.

Fair point. But then if those other players are so damn bad he should have also moved them on in his 7 years if they are detractors to that degree.
