I see on the draft tracker that it has "void" next to the Arizona pick at 49. Does that mean they forfeit the pick? Do we pick one spot higher now? Apologies if this is common knowledge, I haven't been following details about this draft at all.

Correct, they keep the # the same, but in reality the Flames will draft 49

If we want to talk about high skill, bad boots - we’re talking about Noel Gunler. Probably no player has a bigger mismatch between skills and boots in the top part of this draft.
