Fun game to watch. Got tense during the 2nd half but great to see the team prevail. Gio with almost the goat horns but a clutch save by Talbot at the end.
Onto the next and hoping for a better game 2 result then last playoff!

Well it took a year for Lucic to get rid of the Oilers stench but looks like it was worth the wait.

if the Flames can win the second game it would be a BIG confidence booster for the playoffs.

Well I hope the Flames don't look at this stat. Otherwise, they may suffer the same result as last year if they start going easy.

One would hope that last year’s anomaly would increase the odds of it not happening again!

Game Takes: Flames 3 Stars 2 (Flames lead series 1-0)
- Dube emerging with two more goals
- powerplay clicks again
- Talbot and team shake off 2nd period weak goal to counter and win

I love that Heiskanen is a legit star, a smooth skater and might very well win the Norris someday. And while Chris Cuthbert is singing his praises, our number 4 (who is stocky, looks funny when he skates, and can't stop trash talking) manages to skate it all the way down the ice and snipe the GWG.

"Boom!"
EDIT: didn’t realize Ras is listed at 6’1. I always thought he was like 5’10.

The top two lines and Gio can play a lot better. If so, we got this.

Good game and they didn't fold up shop when they were hit with some bad luck and a Stars pushback. This is the team I want to see play. Hopefully they keep building confidence and rolling.
