I wonder if it's an advantage having Talbot, a guy who's played and practiced a lot at Rogers Place in net, especially early on. He must be familiar with the eccentricities of the rink.

Just confidence to get guys going is huge.
Hopefully JG shakes off some rust.
An extra two days rest now as well is great too.
And, the development and winning mentality that this win gives the whole roster, and hopefully more wins as this being the first step, is far superior to losing yet again, giving players doubt in themselves and the others, for a 1/8 chance at a good player who may or may not turn out, and may not turn out for a couple years.
