Wow. I guess this is all they need to see in order to go fully digital by the time there are fans attending games again.

Pretty awesome for the Flames Foundation.

I echo the sentiments in this thread. I feel terrible for the injured players on the Jets. I never wish injury on any opponent, especially their stars. I wish them a speedy recovery.

Good for Poo-man bouncing back.

I am not above petty insults.

Oilers 50/50 was $5.4M last night before shutting down after hitting an artificial cap mid-afternoon. I'm told on Twitter by CBC that the tickets available have now been increased by 2.5x. Given that tomorrow might be their last game, the pot will easily clear $10M which it was on pace for last night.

Jets have had some bad luck but when you are always defending (not just this series) injuries are more likely to happen

Curious if tonight's game goes to ot do they play until theres a goal or is it 5 minute 3 on 3 then a shootout? Not sure if the rules are like the regular season in a qualifying round?

I just got some Flames 50/50, no issues or hiccups. They seem to have fixed what ever the problem was.

26 year old, 6'5" good skating defensive D that also had 7 goals and 7 assists in 55 games.
Hope not. He's was the Wild's worst D-man this year. He's an anchor in basically every way.

His PK stats are very good actually but you don't sign a defenseman just for the PK. Still needs to play 5v5 without being a detriment to the team

Play until goal - full playoff overtime.

Hopefully not - is already a late finish

It really is great. I am so excited for this!
A nice long run could bring tens of millions for very needy local organisations.

This article roasts the Oilers because of their skyrocketing 50/50, saying it "reflects Edmonton’s priorities".

Baffled by the raffle: Disparity between Oilers 50/50 mania and Fringe fundraiser reflects Edmonton’s priorities

They're maybe oblivious to the fact that it's people provincewide buying the tickets in droves, but either way E=NG

What a dumb article. Of course a 50/50 has a huge chance to draw more donations, people are struggling to survive, and gambling is never more prevalent than in times of struggle.

This isn't a straight up donation, there is a real prize.

If the Fringe can't get to their 1mill goal for fundraising, maybe they need to rethink their current worth to the community, in this climate. Sponsoring some goofballs to follow their dreams in the theatre really isn't high on peoples priorities if they aren't big time into theatre.

Sudden death, playoff-style OT for all the play-in rounds. The round-robin teams are playing 3v3 for 5 mins followed by a shootout.

The Flames DO NOT play well IN Vegas. In games against VGK at the Saddledome the Flames have pretty consistently owned the ice. The Knights's achilles heel is playing away from home: 17-13-4 on the road this year, and 36-33-6 the past two years.
Thanks for countering these blanket statements with the facts.

Flames played great in their last game against the Avs and took it to them. I'm not convinced they'd beat them by any means but there's no guarantee that they'd roll over like last time. I think it would be a much more competitive series after what they've learned since then.

Vegas wouldn't be at home, where they play all their best hockey. This unique situation changes a lot of things. Much more of an "anything can happen" sense about this tournament.

You're going to have to face tough opponents no matter what. Might as well rise to the challenge rather than look for the easiest way to sneak through. That ls how the team is going to learn to ever contend. Have to walk through the fire to be the best.

I predict that neither Alberta team will have need to play on Saturday.
