This thread always makes me nervous to see it get bumped. I hope and wish one day soon to see this thread bumped and it is because they have found a cure for this terrible disease.

My Uncle was diagnosed with ALS two months ago and given 2-3 years to live.

Great to see Chris Snow is still winning his battle.

Truly sorry to hear this.

I have lost 2 family members to this insidious disease, one being an uncle.

Condolences.

This made me smile though...

Chris Snow has a new fundraiser, the Weaksidestrong Challenge, to raise money for ALS. It's said that many MVPs across the leagues have signed on to participate. It involves doing tasks with the weak side (since Chris has lost control of his right side, but threw a pitch with his left side).

Boomer got quite emotional during a the recent Fan 960 show. The topic begins at the 8:00 mark, Boomer gets emotional at around 16:30.

Chris recently spent a night in the ER breathing issues. He has pneumonia.
Here is a video of him eating with a feeding tube. It appears the family remains positive and thankful, despite everything. Pretty inspiring stuff.

Really hits hard.
Boomer said it best, you have what you think is a bad day and then think what the Snow family goes through daily and realize maybe it’s not so bad.

Terrible disease, the Snows are amazing.

I’ve been surfing CP using my left (weak) hand in honour of Chris snow,, took me 15 minutes to post a tweet, and I accidentally thanked a bolevi post, but my “**** the oilers” post was surprisingly easy. Go figure.

Go Chris, kelsie, Cohen and Willa — you are all awesome, amazing people.

I am going to assume, for my own sake, any bumps to this are good news stories about Snow, and teh title will change if it’s not.

A friend/colleauge passed from this disease in 2006. Watching it progress was difficult for everyone who knew him. Snow is handling it like a champ, and I'll again donate to advance research in this area.
