Dube reminds me of Paul Byron with better hands and scoring touch.

The entire bottom 6 was a trash fire until about 5 games ago so I can excuse Janko’s uselessness for the first 25 games.

I think his last two games played have been his best of the year. I am really not looking forward to everyone being healthy because at least one player I like won’t be on the team anymore.

Excluding PP pts, he tops the team.
I expected Dube to break out last year, didn't happen and then this year he started in the AHL.

It appears something was holding him back...or down. I wonder what/who that was?

I remember watching Dube as captain of Team Canada's under 20 World Junior team winning gold and thinking we really have someone special here.

The 6 game winless stretch is now 12 games of mediocrity

Let's ride the Ward effect into April

Last year he was snake bitten, but I thought he played well for the most part.

This year he was guilty of being one of the few players who could be sent down. But he has ended that conversation for good.

With the emergence of him and Mangiapane, the Flames are back to having enviable depth.

And having Backlund play RW might just be the missing piece.

Honestly he looked great to start last year but then he couldn’t buy a goal and his confidence was shot and he wasn’t playing as good anymore.

I also think he might have came into camp thinking he had a spot locked down and didn’t work quite as hard in camp. Reider and Rinaldo came in and won the spot and it was a good message for him to keep working hard.

He got his second chance now though and he’s ran with it.

Also I think Derek Ryan as their Center helped both Dube and Mangiapane a lot. He has great hockey sense and I’m sure he’s passing that along on the bench and in practice.

I enjoyed Lucic and Andersson paying homage to Blades of Steel with the first goal celebration

He didn't do a whole heck of a lot tonight, but I can't express how much I prefer watching Lucic hustle than watching Neal do... whatever it was he did most of last season.

He's starting to show a good bit of chemistry with a couple of other players too, which is great to see.

I don't think my wife much appreciated the alternate cursing, cheering and outright yelling and whooping when Monny scored. Oh well - a W is a W!!

Had a buddy who was streaming the game and was about 3 minutes behind...and even patiently waited for him to get the surprise ending. (Meanwhile hopping up and down and screaming like a kid!)

Great and entertaining game -- fire and ice, baby!

(Does Mackinnon ever piss me off though...he is impossible to hit.)

Mackinnon was great all night, but a bit of egg on his face in OT. Gets toe dragged by Dube and then coasts as Monahan buries. And that’s not even counting getting poke checked on the 2 on 1 which is understandable because Gio harnesses the power of the gods.

Easily the most entertaining game of the year.

And the fact that they stuck with it and fought through for the win, against their personal kryptonite, makes it so, so sweet!
