I didn't watch the game after the first goal, but I notice from the box that BSD was in for all five goals.

I don't get why Peters never seems to pull goalies. I presume BSD was doing fine in net, but at some point you've just got to give a guy a mid-game break when the team is ####ting the bed. Like when it's two minutes into the third and the guy gives up his fourth goal, just pull him out, even if he's playing okay. Switch it up.

Fair enough, but people used to always trash Iginla for his leadership. Why should Gio be immune to criticism? He was awful tonight.

Was clearly trying to point to higher up the ladder, but sure. Gio is a good leader, I believe that. One good leader does not make for good overall leadership.

Half of Gio's leadership comes from on-ice work ethic and performance. He's getting caught up ice more this season because he's trying to be a leader, and spark the team.

Problem is, the team doesn't care enough to cover him when he pinches.

I haven't watched many games this year, but so far I'm not regretting skipping the first quarter of the season. Rittich isn't the problem.

The last two games, something else became really obvious to me.

Dube was one of the better players, in both games. Not because he's more talented than Johnny, or more driven than Backlund, but because he hasn't caught whatever the problem is in the dressing room. He's too new.

Rinaldo also didn't look bad, in comparison to everyone else. That's crazy.

If they are still sucking eggs at the deadline they need to move Brodie and Hammer and maybe someone else. We can't let them screw this up.

Blues were dead last in the league at the start of 2019, they won the Cup 5 months later. Keep hope alive people

Well, either that or we can look forward to losing the draft lottery. Lol

Tanking is exactly what this club needs for our rebuild. I’m optimistic!

The Blues also fired their head coach in late November.

Honestly, this is a really hard franchise to be a fan of.

I was born in 1988, so I was too young for our prime years, really only becoming aware of the team during the late 90s amidst the 7 year playoff drought. I've seen us win 4 playoff rounds in roughly 20 years and 3 of those were in 2004.

Jesus Christ.

Is there anything more Calgary Flames than having an amazing/fun season last year, followed by a completely embarrassing playoffs, with yet another embarrassing season the next year? I'm sure we'll pick just outside of the top impact franchise players too.

I really do believe the real Flames were the ones we saw against the Avs, therefore this core is simply not good enough to get out of the first round. Tanking is honestly a God-send as I was worried we would be fooled into another first round exit followed by more years of mediocrity. Burn the whole damn thing down!

Well, it's late november!

Maybe it happens. Maybe we have a resurgence akin to the Canes. Or better yet, like the Blues.

One thing's for sure. It only can go up from here.

They’re the bengals of the NHL. Not quite as bad as their counterpart rival Browns (oilers) but forever mired in mediocrity. Bad leadership at the top that never allows anything to ever truly flourish beneath. Get a good year every once in a while and then right back to being among the bottom.

Step in to my office my young friend I can share with you stories of Flames related heartbreak while you were a mere pup.

Ottawa is infinitely better than Calgary today...

Let that sink in before over analyzing the statement.

Think of the lowest spending teams in the league and then compare them to Calgary who has been spending right up to the salary cap... incredible.

Dube and Ronaldo are fighting for a roster spot and it shows. There are some others who should be.
