Flames need a dynamic puck carrying centre.

As it stands right now Ryan is the flames best puck carrying centre. That's not going to cut it.

Monahan is just not good enough. Gaudreau has to be 2nd best on the team, not first.

Mark my words, this team goes on a good luck run soon, the pucks start going in, guys get their confidence back, the wins start adding up and this place goes back to being happy.

The talks of blowing up the best roster (not to mention the majority of the core is very young) this team has seen since the early 90’s is just stupid. (Yes they had Kipper and Iggy, but it was not a deep roster).
I understand what you’re saying but there is something fundamentally wrong with this team and IMO, trading Gaudreau, if done correctly, could set things up for much greater success.

Time to bring in Bobby Knight to motivate this team.

Great stuff-I’m totally stealing it, and adding it to my own roster that includes “GM Chrysler”.

the sample size is growing however that the Flames cannot seem to buy a goal when they need a goal.

At some point, its not enough to say, "If that puck had gone in, it would have been a different game", because you don't know if that is true - it could be argued just as easily that the other team could have responded with their own goal.

you can write things off as bad luck, but only for a while...as the sample gets bigger, the less luck has anything to do with anything.

if the Flames aren't in a playoff spot by American Thanksgiving, they will only have a 22% chance of getting a playoff spot... they have stats on this going back to 2011 and the % has always been in that range.

You're not going to win when your supposed best players are non-factors or flat out liabilities on a nightly basis. It's time for this organization to shift its focus to surrounding Tkachuk - the actual leader among our forward group - with the type of talent it takes to win in this league.

It's tough to cheer for this team right now... but I remind myself that we have a real team of consistent high performers in the Cavalry, and then I get happy again. GO CAVS!

Ryan is not the Flames best puck carrying center. He handles the puck like it's a grenade ffs.

There's an NHL team coming to Seattle in 2021. My company has placed deposits on four club season tickets. I will have ready access to them for just about any game I want to attend.

This Flames team is making it very hard to not consider a change in fandom.

Who would be better? Backlund couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, Monahan has the puck handling skills of Lucic and Jankowski is Tanner Glass lite.

On a related note, how hard will it be NOT to cheer for Seattle when their instant rivals are going to be Vancouver.

Looked like a hit to the head, but never saw a definitive angle. Concussion protocol though IMO

This thought crossed my mind today I thought why do I keep cheering for this team they have been crap or mediocre for just about my entire life or as long as I can remember at least. But honestly I couldnt cheer for another team I would probably just stop following hockey if it really came down to me giving up on the team
