Valimaki and Brannstrom are a wash, if anything Valimaki was worth more.
Andersson would be worth quite a bit more than Oscar Lindberg who has hardly any value.
The second round picks are a wash.
Plus the Flames add a first?

If Ottawa doesn't take this deal, even excluding the Flames' 1st, they are insane.
If the "speculation" didn't include the first, I would believe it. But then I would think that not acquiring Stone was a mistake. And I do think that.

^You can't just say that Valimaki and Brannstrom are a wash.
Each team has their own evaluation of players. It is not without reason that they liked Brannstrom more, and potentially significantly more.
