Holy hell do I disagree with your take on Kylington. He was great tonight.

Had the misfortune to pay to see this game live. The game was garbage. The Flames were garbage. G.A.R.B.A.G.E. Coming back to tie it at 3-3 is nothing to celebrate. If the team had shown up at all in the first 30 minutes of the game, a 5-2 Flames win is likely. The team was lazy, listless, and bereft of talent. CSE pays the players to play, fans pay to see a win. Flames players are way too content with the former, and don't care at all about the latter. A long while back a good friend of mine had great idea: fill in the gap in the flaming C and just make it a 0.
Disgusting.

Nobody was great tonight except for Tkachuk. Tying the game was a miracle. Sure seemed like a comedy of errors all night. Bennett's dumb penalty was a cherry on top.

Gee. Looking forward to the Dallas game. Hope they play G R E A T.
There's a catch though - THE FLAMES HAVE LOST SIX STRAIGHT GAMES TO THE DALLAS STARS.
I say bring Jobu.

I don’t see it. His positioning and gap control is poor. He’s not strong enough to be effective on the wall or in front of the net. But he skates fast up the ice on the rush and forces pucks deep in the offensive zone. Fans love their ‘offensive’ style d-men because offence is exciting yet teams can just cross the blue-line untouched shift after shift after shift and have clear shots to the net over and over as the D just backs in.

To those attended the game, did the towel look similar to the towel from last year's playoffs?

Very poor start to the season made worse by the apparent reemergence of Neal. The slow start to the year brings back nightmares of last year's playoffs. You would think that they would start the year feeling they have something to prove instead of continuing the poor effort. Hope they can get their #### together soon as quite a few on the team (outside of a few players) look like dead weight so far.

Almost identical but had a C of Red logo instead of a Playoffs logo.
On a related note, waving towels is lame.

It's exactly the same... Leftover towels from what they thought might be a long playoff run I think.

Yeah, when I noticed him I saw him walked around and with some cough ups under pressure and thought he is not ready.
Whatever

Stars, Knights and Sharks... That's a tough stretch no matter what the early season records say. Win or lose, I'd just like to see a full 60 minutes of effort. The full game effort in these games have been pathetic.

Totally agree. Macdermid gets three hard cross checks in on a downed chucky in front of the net in the second or third period. No call. One crosschek- fine. Two.. maybe. Three? C’mon....
Then call Bennett for a trip with less than two minutes. Brilliant game management ref.
Not blaming refs for the loss though. . First period was unacceptable for a team with such expectations.

It was a great game by Rittich but the effort was completely uneven. Vancouver dominated large stretches of that game and if not for Rittich it could've easily swung the other way.
I don't care what the score is I'd like to see a full game effort

Gap control at the NHL level is very important. I think as he becomes more comfortable he will improve in that area, he is still relatively inexperienced at the NHL level. That will only come as he sees more ice time and gains more confidence.
I never played D but I assume the tendency when you have elite level talent coming down on you is to back up to ensure you don't get beat to the net.
His natural offensive instincts can't be taught though, he's also a great skater and moves the puck really well.
A lot to be excited for when it comes to Kylington.

I thought the Vancouver game was solid. The Canucks carried the puck a lot in the third period, but the Flames did a great job of keeping them to the outside. Vancouver hardly looked dangerous at all in that game.

Absolutely agree. Kylington has great potential. I do fear he is on a path to be another Brodie though.
I just like more size at 6D when playing a team like the Kings who’s smallest players easily outsize us.
I’m not a defenceman though. I just play one on TV.
