No it wasn't.

Sure it was a fantastic season but gambling our future for Stone who probably wouldn't have resigned here or if he did would put the team in utter cap hell.

The few times the Flames get the puck back high in their own zone, it's a perfect picture of what's going on in their head. Nobody wants to take ownership of the game, they hope that somebody else will do the hard work and maybe they'll get to chip in a piece.

Default Avs 3 Flames 2 on the brink

Guys , the power play dried up around the all star break and the team haven’t been stellar since then. It’s not really a surprise but it sure as hell Is disappointing.

I hope the flames remember how crap they were in playoffs when they hang that meaningless, stupid banner next year. I won’t even be able to give my Saturday tickets after this choke job. What a pack of pussies we have for a team.

Where has tkachuk been? Seriously disappointed in his invisibility...

Colorado has the confidence now. That was about all we can expect out of Johnny and mony.

Looks like there’s a true distinction between being a great regular season team and a playoff team and we aren’t the latter.

This is why teams who can grind and have some players who like to dig in win.

Peters is getting out coached.

Smith better ducking not get resigned after this, despite being great he isn’t our future

Bunch of pussies.
Top players disappear completely when the going gets tough.

#### this team of pussies.

Paper tigers indeed

Hathaway off the mask in the 3rd & especially Backs in overtime. You have to bury those, Backs scores in ot it’s a brand new series

I'm legit blaming this one on the referees. There are 3 minutes left, you don't call anything all game, and then choose that call on backs as your must call? Referees dictating an outcome is pathetic and has no place in a sport like this. #### the NHL.

Flames are done! Team is too soft. Even if they come back to win one more game or if by miracle they win this series, Vegas will run them over. How the eff can a team win when they're outshot over 50 shots a game? You got bonehead players like Backlund and Brodie who check with their sticks. You got Gaudreau who can wheel around a light post but is afraid to go to the boards. This team has not learned from losses from previous playoff games where the other team play the playoff games. It's sad and Treliving's gotta be a bit smarter with picking up bigger players who are willing to pay the price at the trade deadline.

A really soft group, physically and mentally. At least through four games.

Because the team as a whole doesn't have another gear, like most successful playoff teams have.

Johnny made several awesome complaints to the refs but it wasn't enough to win in the end. Maybe change his game-plan next game?

Neal, Brodie, Monahan, Backland should be playing somewhere else next year. We look soft. Where in the F is Johnny? Full MIA in the playoffs. WTF?

I’m stunned. I didn’t think Avs would be easy, but this?

At our best, we are playing them even. When Avs put their mind to it, it is total domination, like men against boys.

All you can do is try to win the next one and go from there. But frankly we looked better against Anaheim two years ago.

I have a hard time believing this team has a great comeback story in them - and I certainly don't think they're any match for what were seeing in Vegas.

Great when we play best of 82. Weak, scared and lost when the Colorado Avalanche come knocking.
