Good to see Valimaki in. Oscar is just too slow to handle a lot of the Avs forwards.

Good change on defense, but I really hope Peters doesnt hesitate to move Bennett's minutes up. He's averaged about 7-8 mins less than the "top" guys while visibly and statistically dominating them.

He still hits hard and can pound anyone on this team. I did move on time for you and your hate for him to move on.

Interesting decision. I wonder if they restrict his minutes. Fantenberg seemed to take a bit of a regular shift. I like Valimaki's skill set, but for a group of Dmen that has been under seige, I hope he can handle it.

He doesn't hit hard from the press box...what hate? It's reallity. Guy has been injured much of the season.

I am not.
These are the horses that got the team to where it finished the season. For as bad as they looked in Game #3 the problem is not within the roster itself, nor in the construction of the lines. It lay in their ability to process the game at the right speed, and in execution. I honestly believe that had the Flames not taken three bad penalties in quick succession in the first period, the complexion and outcome of that game is totally different.
They just need to play like we all know they can.
GFG.

Not sure I agree with not changing the forward lines at all but do like Valimaki getting into the lineup.

glad to see Valimaki get his first start...
a little surprised that the foward lineup wasn't tweeked at all personnel wise...especially considering how badly they were outclassed

The Snap happened in Game 3, that's what it felt like for Flames fans.
Now we see if the Flames can come back. "Whatever it takes".

Only thing I'm disappointed about with keeping the lines the same is Bennett still being with Jankowski and Neal. How many minutes do you play them? Keeping Bennett down at 12 minutes is a mistake IMO, but so is playing Jankowski for any more. Even if the lines stay the same, I'd look at double-shifting Bennett. Maybe go down to 3 lines and try Mangiapane-Ryan-Bennett?

Last chance for guys like Jankowski, Neal and Frolik.
If they don't play well, I think they will be out for Game 5 with Dube, Czarnik and Quine in.

Jankowski has been the worst Flames forward in the series. He's a PK specialist, and that's about all he brings to the game. No offence, no jam, no speed, not a strong checker.
Lindholm can play centre, and maybe he'll spark Neal. Dube would bring speed and maybe some offence.
Gio-Andersson
Hanafin-Hamonic
Valamaki-Brodie
I don't think Fantenberg has played badly. But Valamaki is faster and more dynamic. He could give the team a spark.

For the sake of Colorado being able to control matchups i dont think having Johnny and mony together will work. They will get eaten up by McKinnon line.
