Bruins beat the Devils 1-0
Blue Jackets beat them 2-1 in a shootout
Its not like the "AHL Devils" get pounded every night...Heck they haven't allowed 9 since '93

Even in what was a bad game for him I still think Gio made the biggest play of the night.
Went in, got the puck himself (with a little help from Mangiapane), and gave Bennett a Monahan-esque tap-in.
The stones to throw a blind backhand centering pass to the slot when you're the guy on defense when you're down 3-1 are incredible.
Even when he has a bad game he is still the best defenseman on the team, I hope he never retires.

Ryan, not Mangiapane, but otherwise, yes. Although it was blind it wasn't deaf. Bennett yelled for it.

True, but they were able to limit the goals. I guess my worry is, you aren't gonna be able to score your way out of trouble against playoff teams if you constantly give up goals due to defensive breakdowns.Flames don't currently have a good enough goalie to bail them out everytime they do, so they have to compensate by tightening up more defensively than other teams.

And not quite a tap in, Bennett got a full slapper on it.

Could that be the kind of game that turns things around for the top line. Confidence is so important, I feel like this game could be a reboot for the top guys.
