Excellent start. Now just keep doing that for 40 more minutes.

Wow I'm an idiot. I've seen that all week and thought it was an ad for another Ted movie and the number got messed up or something

Fleury is the backup. Just tapped Subban at the end of the period. Most excellent Chucky goal.

Damn solid period by the Flames, and the guys look much more confident. That 3rd goal was a beauty! Hoping to see more of that swagger for 40 more minutes.

Flames are hopefully realizing that strong backchecking leads to more odd man rushes, which provide for easier scoring.

If the top line cuts out their cheating they might get a few of those too.

As I stated earlier.. I think the top line needs one tonight. If they get that with the win, it would be awesome for their confidence.

An ideal second period:

Monahan (Gaudreau, Lindholm) - 4-1
Bennett (Jankowski, Giordano) - 5-1
Monahan (Ryan, Giordano - PP) - 6-1
Gaudreau (Lindholm, Monahan) - 7-1
Lindholm (Ryan, Fantenberg - SH) - 8-1

I can dream, ok?

The next goal will be a huge determinant in this game.

Did the Flames play much better that period from the last stretch? Nope.

Backlund goal a gift, they got a good block from Gio and turned into odd man situation. Last games they didn’t get that 2 on 1. Now they got some confidence, and that’s all it takes hopefully the rest of the night. They didn’t get those bounces to make it a 2 on 1 last few games.

Really hope I was wrong about Mangiapane. Used to think he wouldn't be much in the NHL. Now he's really impressing me, love it
