Johnny Gaudreau now has 352 career points. The player taken 103 spots higher than him in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft has 351. This is the very first time that Johnny will go to bed with more career points than RNH (in 143 fewer games).

I think it's fair to assume Frolik is dying for more ice time, and is maybe feeling like its falling on deaf ears. He's got a lot of pride and he's a talented hockey player. I think it's even harder to watch Neal get spoon-fed softer minutes above you.

I hope the relationship between Frolik and the Flames organization isn't beyond repair.

Peters quite often goes down to 3 lines in the 3rd. Personally I think its a good motivational tactic. You know if you aren't going in the first two periods you won't see time in the third. Keeps players hungry for their ice time.

Kylington? Not sure. He has had some rough plays in the past few games though.

Haha exactly. If 'the book' on Rittich is shots that are darn near unsaveable I'm pretty happy with that

The Stromes are terribly overrated. Well they were anyways.

People are putting too much thought into the “benching” of Frolik, Hathaway, Killington, etc.

Trust Peters to shorten the bench accordingly and have the right players on the ice at the right times.

Everything is strategic and nothing is by mistake. He is thinking 2 steps ahead of the fans and 1 step ahead of the other coach.

He deserves lots of credit for having a pulse on this team and pushing all the right buttons

That goal by Monahan was just disgusting.

It's like he's seeing everything in slow motion. Just a casual one timer flip into the top corner, no biggie.

On the Fan960 last week (after the first Walsh tweet) Elliott Friedman was adamant that Walsh was tweeting with the consent of Frolik.

Further, if Frolik didn’t like the first tweet, I doubt Walsh would have sent out the second tweet. Frolik isn’t crafting or approving the specific language, but he’s approved the general approach.

A player desperately concerned that this year could be a lost year.

Flames could have had 8 goals for and 8 against.

Both goalies were amazing.

Thanks you. If a goalie stops those it is more fluke than anything.

I keep waiting for these guys to slow down, but they don't.

They are all currently on pace for more than 90 points.

When was the last time a team finished a season with four 90+ point forwards?

Had to be back when goalies still tried to make "skate saves" and wore rolled up newspapers on their legs for pads.

Default Flames win 4-3 in Chicago!

My only concern with the Flames’ current streak is that the top line is carrying the load. Would really like to see the second and third lines to contribute to the scoring. It will be too easy to shut down the Flames in a 7 game series otherwise

(Yes, I know, I am being a downer )

Great game to watch. Flames get full marks for the victory.

However, in a one goal game , it’s hard to believe that Sam and Neal are playing and Frolik is not.

Turned out fine, just a little baffling.

They haven't been easy to shut down in a 44 game series, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
