Cassie is just fine in this game and has added very good insights and comments on the players and the game. Try listening an Oilers broadcast/commentary and you will realize Cassie is much better. Or maybe some of you Cassie haters actually think Gene Príncipe is good.

Yep, no way a company like the CBC would push a woman to a commentary job because they wanted to diversify.
By all means, attack me for it, I am a member of the Samtok 78 gay association that has fought for gay rights for decades in Iceland, I have been a vocal and active member for the newer Trans Iceland group.
But yep, Cassie is such a talent, she totally brings so much to the commentary game.

How is he wrong? She obviously had quite a career as a player but her voice is terrible for broadcasting and she often kills the momentum. As mentioned before she had quite a hockey career no one can take that from her but she provides zero insight to the NHL or the players like at least a guy like Kypreos who’s not the greatest broadcaster either can provide. It’s pretty obvious she’s been given the role she has to help with their diversity quota.

She and the ladies were amazing, such talent, and often more exciting than men's Canadian hockey.
How that relates to her talent as a commentator is beyond me.

Her knowledge of the game. The critique should be her delivery, which incidentally came be fixed with experience. I knew it was inevitable the winjing about Cassie calling a game would become prevalent in a GT.

I've seen about 5 minutes of the game in total and have seen 2 or 3 hits by Vegas like that without a call...at least be consistent.
