Zac Rinaldo's absolutely stoppable goal vs Nashville probably would have been a game that went to OT, and we own Nashville in OT -> 2pts

@Anaheim, I he was terrible -> 4pts

Montreal was definitely beatable -> 6pts
I’m no smith apologist but you definitely have to give him props for that 3-0 shutout over Nashville. He was really good that game and was the reason they won. I agree with everything else though

Nice to see Johnny with the empty net pass. He could have scored that goal!

Rittich is more then ready and was a great test to see him standout to everything and the kitchen sink (Byfuglien).

What was weird is with all the come from behind games and high pressure to win from behind then all of a sudden having a massive lead.

The fourth line played a great game tonight as well. Great atmosphere at the dome with all the upset Jets fans.

Maybe this has been covered, but I am really fataing happy for Bennett. Starting to get some points. Nobody can say he hasn't earned it.

Last year Tanev scored first and we won 6-3.

Tonight Tanev scored first and we won 6-3.

Thankyou Brandon Tanev.

May be the ref was ready to blow the whistle and call a unsportmanlike penalty, then he saw number 33. The ref also had a scary moment.

Rittich on Friday
Smith on Sunday

I have hated smiths game this year, but if Rittich is truly taking over the net we should still try and keep his work load at a reasonable spot. Far too often teams make it to the playoffs and their starting goalie is spent.

Give smith a game sunday. Then go right back to Ritter for 4-5 games or until back to backs.

Here's an ATL of just the Oiler fans because it's so delicious.

yup its true

Quote:
They're most likely ****ting their pants now that the Oilers hired the #3 winningest coach and can solve the Oilers structure problems whereas their prized hire has never finished higher than 6th in his division as a NHL coach. The annual Calgary collapse is coming. They've had a kitten soft schedule so far and they're still losing to the better teams in the league and barely beating the teams below them.

Tonight will speak volumes to where they are at. I'm predicting a 5-3 Jets win.

Rittich is not going to last. He doesn't even look good. Shaky. He saved Calgary's a*8 from being down 4-0. 5-0, 6-0 n Saturday unti the Oilers fell apart. other times he looks so bad like tonight.

Okay. Yes, he's had a rough go of it this year.

But that Rinaldo shot was pretty fantastic. If you want to bash him on the garbage goals, fine..........but when someone makes a great play I'm not sure why we need to pile on needlessly. Rinaldo is a garbage player who scored a nice goal. It happens.

Ummm...that Zac Rinaldo goal was not realistically stoppable. That was a perfect shot almost bar down.

Even the worst of players still in the NHL like Rinaldo can make nice plays or score pretty goals once in a while.

Have you ever heard him play anywhere other than the Dome? Bro is a legitimate musical genius. I've jammed with him a lot. He is one of those cats who knows 10,000 songs and in any key you want, no problem.

I remember after the first time I ever jammed with Willy he gave me a ride home across town in the complete opposite direction he was going, blasting Chick Corea and having the most stoked conversation about music. There is a reason he's worked for the Flames for 30 years.

As for the win tonight: GLORIOUS!!!

Oh man, Oilers fans salt. Serious, Rittich looks bad? Tonight? What are they watching?

This is fun, 1st in division, Oilers fans are pissed and it’s American Thanksgiving! We are making the playoffs baby. Jk, but it feels great.

Peters is great. I haven’t disagreed with too many of his decisions so far this season. Tonight was great when he started mixing up the D pairings and shortens the bench when needed. It is so refreshing.

Great win, so much fun, love this team!
