I really don’t get Ryan getting PP time over Bennett. Mind boggling

I actually thought Neal was good that period. His shot has not been as advertised but he’s been mixing it up and has been working hard on the boards. Hopefully he can find his shot sometime soon. He should’ve buried that Jankowski feed but made a great pass to Bennett the next shift that hit the post.

Panel talking about how great the Flames forecheck was - literally every clip they showed was Bennett-Jankowski-Neal.

Pretty sure they were both out there.

Sure stupid penalty, but just don't do it.

The Sam Bennett Curse:

Your line looks good and their advanced stats are even better, but your shooting % sinks like the Titanic. You will have an amount of posts/crossbars/impossible saves that will make you question the hockey gods purpose for your career.

Can’t blame Neal for that. Anyone who does clearly hasn’t played hockey before. That’s a hockey play that almost never would be called

To be fair Bennett was out there with him.

But yea I still don't like Ryan on the PP.

I missed the Neal penalty, but it's probably just something you gotta live with. He's made back to back SCF playing his game, and I don't think he's necessarily been bad, even if the goals aren't there (maybe someone needs to get him a more appropriate replacement stick?)

I thought Jankowski looked great that period. Loved the pass he made with Tavares checking him closer to the end of the period. That line just needs to get hot

Watching live the flames have been pushing the play for the most part and had the more dangerous chances. Nice to actually see them play live for once as the tv never really does justice to individual play when you don’t have full ice perspective. Smith definitely looks as agitated live as he does on screen. Lol!

Still I like his active playing of the puck it can totally turn the dump in around quickly but man it feels super risky most times he does it!

Leafs are definitely missing Mathews though. We are lucky he is out.

Badger Bob would be sending Bennett to an eye doctor. He sent Don Edwards to an eye doctor when he never made the saves as a goalie that was expected of him.

Yeah I get they they now crack down on obstruction but I don't know if I've ever seen anything like that called anywhere in any league. I'm pretty sure the officials were looking for any little thing after hearing the boos after calling the Gaudreau penalty. At leas with Johnny's penalty it was a clear cross check in the back.
