Anyone else’s picture freezing up several times through that first period?

Peters likely won't be happy with this period. Very lucky to be up by a goal.

Happy to get out of that period with the lead. That might have been the worst period we've played so far this year. Need to play smarter in the 2nd and get their feet moving.

His mind-set should be about not competing with Jon Gillies, but Mike Smith.
Tremendous opportunity.

Watch for the Habs to start shooting high on Rittich as he's been very sharp on anything ice level.

That should be changed to Frolik’s goal. Goes off his skate.

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
#Flames opening goal in Montreal has now been credited to Michael Frolik.

Part of it is his fault for not dressing Czarnik.

I actually thought the Flames carried the play for the majority of the period. The Habs had sporadic moments where they got a flurry of shots on net but I felt the Flames were dictating things mostly. Rittich has been a breath of fresh air.
Prbably doesn't need to be said but the PP needs to capitalize.

You think he's the magic elixir for the Flames turning over pucks?

Yeah the team defense is really lacking lately. Can't just hang the goalies out to dry and expect to win, they really need to tighten up. Quickly.

2 games in a row where this team is being outskated.
Not sure what to think. Rittich can't keep this level of play up.

No but he is the fastest forward we have.
The Flames forwards look like they are skating in quicksand.
