Shot of Parsons on the bench makes me wonder if we see him in the 3rd or do they let Rittich finish this off?

Does Rittich have Bart Simpson on his mask?

I already know this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I think Valimaki could do with a year in the AHL to work on building muscle mass and a more explosive first step with his stride. He's got everything else that you need to get to the NHL, but those things will keep him from being an effective every day NHLer. If he were in the league this year he would probably take a lot of penalties because he's outmatched in those regards.

Great play by Valimaki there to block the shot then pass it to get the puck out. Very nice.

I like Rittich, but I also like Parsons. Might as well see them both!

I agree. He's got all the tools but he's not there yet. No harm in letting him spend some time in the minors working on things, the big club has lots of depth right now anyways.

I also like Alan Quine's game. Quietly, he is showing a lot of poise with the puck and knows where to be without the puck. Good depth pick up by Treliving.

Small, but bizarre non-whistle when the Flame touched the puck during the delayed penalty

Yeah, me as well. I normally preach caution with prospects right out of junior, but Dube seems like a sure-fire NHLer who is more than ready for that league.

Why would that be unpopular? We have the depth that we don’t need him to step in. Doesn’t hurt to be patient with guys. I thought he might compete for a spot but with Stone, Kulak, Prout and Andersson likely ahead of him I’d say he sees a big chunk of the year in the AHL.

He’s going to be a good one, we don’t need to rush him at all.
