It really was an excellent show at the Dome as well...especially if you were a long time fan. They started almost right at 7:30 with no opening act. They played for 3 hours and 15 min and played mostly from Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Inifinite Sadness. All of the hits and a lot of songs that would make true Smashing Pumpkins nerds super happy. Corgan’s voice sounds as good or better than I’ve heard and, jesus, they were super tight as a band.
They also didn’t skimp out at all on the presentation. Corgan was much more animated as a showman than usual with multiple costume changes.

Seriously a great show. If you were not much a Pumpkins fan, it was still a visually appealing but 3 hours+ is a really long show.

Yeah the Pumpkins show was fantastic. The band sounded awesome, great setlist and really great stage setup. As a Pumpkins fan, I couldn't ask for more.

Frank Turner at Mac Hall last night was really good. I've seen him three times now and his shows are always a blast. If you ever get a chance to see him headline a show don't pass it up!

He also seems like a really nice guy! My third show as well, he really loves what he does and it shows each and every concert.

Not Calgary (as we’re being skipped once again), but Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys put on a great show in Edmonton tonight. Still floored they’re going to Grand Prairie and not Calgary.

Went to see Avatar and Trivium Friday night at the Palace Theatre. Wow was Avatar ever awesome! Brought two buddies and by the end they were converted Avatar fans.
Was neat seeing Howard Jones previously of Killswitch Engage and Johannes from Avatar fill in for Matt Heafy.

 An awesome awesome night!

Weird Al is coming back to Calgary August 24, 2019 as part of his Strings Attached tour. All the hits, full costume changes, video segments AND accompanied by a full orchestra. He uses local musicians for each tour stop. He's concerts are some of the best I've been to for pure entertainment value. Tickets go on sale November 15th.
