You would have thought after choking away a two goal lead last year they would have learned their lesson but nope.

Canada will still win the group if they win their final preliminary round game against Denmark.

Canada can still get 1st despite losing, and this isn't the game that matters

Ryan Pike @RyanNPike
Adam Fox played 26:00 (most of all USA players), Dillon Dube went 22:12 (most of all CAN forwards, 3rd overall on team). #Flames

Canada can't let games get into shootouts.

i get the idea of rolling 4 lines etc, but shootouts are purely skill... i can't really say Canada is built for that...

that 2 man PK because of that stupid, stupid poke with the stick was just plain awful... and that boarding penalty was right behind it

The US loss to Slovakia made this a nothing game as Canada can and will finish first in the group.

Brady Tkachuck 6'3 centerman with grit and skill... reminds me of Getzlaf. Some lucky team will draft this guy.

Fox was extremely composed all game, used against Canada's top lines and did a very good job. Gotta get him signed asap

How do we get Brady Tkachuk? All the Tkachuks should belong to us.

Time machine back to last year's draft and not make the deal for Hamonic? I hope he goes east and not to one of our rivals. That would be the most epic of fails possible.

Maxime Comtois: 29 points in 29 games (QMJHL)
Alex Formenton: 21 points in 20 games (OHL)

The two players with the stupid, selfish penalties are the two forwards who have barely managed point-per-game in their draft +1 seasons on the team. Every year it seems Canada can't help themselves but take a couple plugs who end up costing the team.

Meanwhile, cut from the team:
Kole Lind: 44 points in 26 games (WHL)
Nick Suzuki: 44 points in 29 games (OHL)
Cody Glass: 54 points in 33 games (WHL)
Matthew Phillips: 57 points in 38 games (WHL)
Cliff Pu: 43 points in 34 games (OHL)
Michael Rasmussen: 31 points in 22 games (WHL)

Oh well. Every team is bound to have a stinker in the tournament and today was Canada's. Smash Denmark to regain some offensive confidence and never look back.

Your gap control was piss poor and I thought the penalty you took in the second embarrassed your country.

Wait, you're just someone on the internet. And they're teenagers playing in a Christmas tournament.

I'm not sure the way to compare junior players is to look at their PPG averages.

Otherwise picking a team would be pretty easy.
