Don't think that totally crossed the line, but it is really close. Regardless of the on-ice call, it probably doesn't get reversed.

I cannot remember the last time I saw empty seats for a TC game that was being played in NA.
They also tend to make you buy a package to every game in the tournament. US fans will skip Canada-Finland, Canada fans will skip US-Denmark tonight.

Like you said, package ticket sales. This might be in there but maybe not everyone cares.
Its also game 1.
And 'sellouts' and 'butts in seats' are not the same thing . A seat may be sold without a butt necessarily being in it.
I dont know, just ideas.
Yeah sure, but there are
thousands of empty seats.
As I said, in all the years I've been watching this tourney, I don't recall that ever happening in NA.
The ones down low are most likely no shows, but whole sections are empty as well.

That Foote play on the goal line was amazing. Easily one of the best goal line saves you will see.

Fair enough, I cant comment on that.

Does appear ticket sales aren't that great. I just went to the ticket site and can get 10 tickets together for the game against Slovakia in the 200 level.
EDIT: Canada vs Slovakia to clarify.

Juolevi should be dominating this tournament, barely have noticed him and the Finns have had a bunch of pp time. Thank god the Canucks took him

This is also the 3rd tournament in 4th year where Canada has played some games in this area.
2015 Toronto/Montreal
2016 Finland
2017 Toronto/Montreal
2018 Buffalo
Need to space things out.

There might be a bit of World Junior fatigue in Southern Ontario now. Toronto hosted 2 of the last 3 tournaments.
Wow, that wide shot. It looks like there are full sections in the upper deck that are completely empty. I just checked, and there are a lot of seats available for tonight's USA game too.
Prices are reasonable too. The most-expensive seats are only $75 US and those are club seats.

That is amazing.
When the tourney was in North Dakota, there wasn't an empty seat for any TC games.

Things have really changed since then. The last two times the tournament was held in Canada they had trouble selling tickets because they were essentially asking NHL prices for a junior tournament.
I haven't looked into what they are asking for in terms of price this year though.

The crowd booing Evander Kane presenting the player of the game award there was a little much and honestly embarrassing

You buy the ticket you take the ride. Kane really cant blame anyone but himself for fans' impressions of him.
