Lol, solid retort. 1.) It demotes Brodie, deservedly. 2.) it still allows him to play the right side.

Rittich had a .667 save percentage and handed them a goal

GG may suck but its not because he didn't pull Smith earlier, I wish he just left him in there

The exact same players that simply dont care enough or are proud enough to do their jobs. yet some will expect different results. That seems so weird to me.
That's just not true. A coaching change can make a world of difference. The Pens underperformed mightily until they hired Sullivan and took off. There are a lot of examples on this. This team is underperforming this season, especially on the defensive side. Something needs to change and the coaching staff is the most obvious choice since they clearly can't right the ship.

mixing up the defensive pairings is not going to fix the defensive system.

They forgot that most goalies are not that active to play the puck like Smith does.
he setup the puck for Maroon...surely an NHL goalie can make a 4 foot pass to his dman...or stay in the net

obviously I'm not blaming the game on him

Who is on the coaching shortlist?

Dave Tippett
Darryl Sutter

Anyone else?

Truth. And a guy like Sutter would hold players accountable and have them working their asses off.

That could be a kickass blueline. No need for Hamilton to go.
I like it. Trade Hamonic at the draft for a young forward or a recouped 1st and then graduate Rasmus next year. Kylington fights with Kulak for the #6 spot and Valimaki and/or Fox possibly graduate to the AHL

2018/2019:

Giordano - Hamilton
Ekman-Larsson - Stone
Kulak/Kylington - Andersson

2019/2020:

Ekman-Larsson - Hamilton
Giordano - Andersson
Valimaki/Kylington/Kulak - Stone/Fox

Don't trade any player except Brouwer or Lazar or F.Hamilton. Just change the coach. GG system doesn't work for faster opponent. They give too much space between Forwards and D, so other team able to get speed entering zone with puck or is going forecheck. And there is no help coming back when D fighting for puck.

Rittich actually knew to go for the pass and did. He just fanned on it and didn't realize he whiffed the pass entirely.

Dave Tippett would likely be the choice, which would be an absolute travesty. Coyotes fans were begging for him to be fired by the time he was ousted in Arizona.

The oilers are not a fast team. Most of the criticism of them starts with them being a slow team
